Absolutely recommend staying here. The place was very inviting and the beds were very comfortable. Our host was easy to contact. A great place for fur babies. My Dachshund was so calm and relaxed. Thank you for a home away from home.
We had a great stay at this suite. We were greeted by the four legged host, Getty Lee who let us pass after an ear scratch and pet. The suite had everything we needed. There was lots of space for the two of us and we appreciated being away from the noise of the city. Would definitely stay there in the future.
The space, location, and outdoors environment were exactly as represented, and when we couldn’t find a bread knife, our hosts got us one, along with some other useful utensils, the same day. We’re completely happy with our stay there, love the area, and would like to stay again in future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The suit was clean and nicely appointed. Both the kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with everything required. Our dog Zeke enjoyed playing with Geddy Lee in the large yard and checking in with Jet the goat. All in all it was a very nice relaxing stay. Thank you Thomas and Leslie.
The hosts are very friendly, helpful and laid-back. Having their dog and 2 goats in the back yard, also to pet and play, was awesome. We also loved that the house was outside the town area, with wildlife all around (birds of prey in the air, wild deer in the neighbours garden, hummingbirds feeding of the plants near the house), but also very easy to reach from highway 1 and 19.
The house itself is well equipped, has comfortable beds and was very nice to stay in. On our more relaxed days we were happy to be able to watch lots of movies (Netflix, Disney, Prime).

Charlotte and Stefan, thanks for coming to Canada and choosing to stay with us. We truly appreciated your easy approach to life and graceful love of nature. And thank you for sharing your journey with us. We have enjoyed your photos and videos.
The website photos undersell this property. It has everything you would want and more. A great well equipped kitchen, a lovely lounge area, two double bedrooms and a nice bathroom. There is a nice sitting area at the back and garden. The hosts are just so welcoming and helpful and whilst they live in the house above they leave you to get on with things unless you need help about local points of interest or facilities. Direct road takes you to Nanaimo harbour and quite close to the main Route 19. Loved our stay and happy to recommend.
Very nice people and a comfortable suite. The issue was the constant noise upstairs. We are an older couple and really needed a quiet place for a long-awaited vacation. Maybe it was on us to find a place that doesn't have children upstairs.
Sorry about this but it is in the best interest for the owners to be aware of this issue.
We were in Nanaimo to visit family and take in the sites for a week. The location worked well for us. 5-10 minutes in any direction covered everything we anticipated visiting in the Nanaimo area. The neighborhood has decent sidewalks and a short-cut trail to a local lake that has a popular walking trail leading around the entire lake, with a lakefront park. A perfect, mostly-level, 4-mile daily walk to exercise the dog. It was a perfect place for my service dog, sister and myself to stay. Ground-level entrance to the unit made mobility issues non-existent. The fenced huge backyard with a friendly dog and two goats made the place family friendly. Thomas was very good with communications with us and our trip went perfectly as planned.

Thank you for your kind words. We truly enjoyed hosting you…a true five star guest. Thanks again.
Property was not quite as we expected. Although it was very clean inside and we had no disturbances from the owners living upstairs one still had the feeling of living in someone’s basement. A few suggestions for improvement would be adding plug in air fresheners to mask the “basement” smell and updating the throw rugs, furnishings and supplies - particularly those that were obviously used for 20+ years somewhere else and then thrown downstairs into the suite. Using the old toaster and some of the kitchen utensils was a bit gross. Otherwise very clean and an enjoyable stay.
Lovely, quiet, semi-rural spot with nice feeling.
Perfect location for my purpose (close to Westwood Lake and Bethlehem Retreat Centre). Clean, cozy bottom floor of house with fairly new fittings/finishing.
We loved the idea of backyard goats and Bennie and Jet were indeed lovely neighbours! Our experience here was peaceful and relaxing. Comfortable furniture, nice extras (tea, coffee, hot chocolate, popcorn, TV with streaming services available), and great communication with hosts. Very spacious for three adults. Quiet and safe neighbourhood but near Nanaimo and other destinations.
