Historic Restored Amish Homestead 1-BR Barn Loft
Located in Wyomissing, this centrally heated and cooled barn loft is a dream. You will have your own private drive and entrance and may pull directly up to the loft. Guests are greeted by a welcome basket with local treats and freshly roasted coffee (roasted by the hosts). With a cozy bedroom featuring a queen bed, guests can unwind in comfort, sleeping on pima cotton 800 thread count sheets. An adjacent well-stocked reading nook, complete with easy chairs, overlooks the homestead gardens and bird feeders. The bathroom features a walk-in shower and is stocked with plush towels, bath soaps and shampoo, and is equipped with a hairdryer for convenience. The loft contains a complete kitchen, dining, and living area that is furnished with antiques. The kitchen contains everything you need to cook and eat: coffee pot, microwave, stove, frig, cookware,bakeware, and dishes. You will have access to bikes and a pickle ball set and can walk across the road to the park that contains the Union Canal Towpath Trail. Enjoy the beauty of this historic property as well as the close proximity to vibrant West Reading, the Santander Arena, and a variety of great restaurants. You may also venture out to explore Amish country (15 minutes) or visit Hershey or Philadelphia. Whether you're exploring the city or simply relaxing, this barn is the perfect retreat.
Your hostess lives onsite and is often found outside in the gardens. You may request a tour of the early 1700's stone house on the property.

My husband and I are both from big Mennonite/Amish families where hospitality has been an important part of our lives. I love hosting Guests here.
Why they chose this property
This property is husband’s ancestors home and has been restored. We have created garden spaces and and we love living Across from the Tulpehocken Creek and the Union Canal Towpath Trail.
What makes this property unique
My husband is a 9th generation descendent of Nicholas Stoltzfus who emigrated to America in 1766. The stone house he bought was built in the early 1700’s and has been restored as a museum and is available for tours.
