About this property

Tranquilize at Spectacular Sproat Lakefront Waterfront Authentic Timber Log Home

Fantastic family or couples lakefront retreat, with kms of serene forest trails for mountain biking & hiking starting a block away.

Day trip to the coast 100kms to Ucluelet or Wickininnish Beach enroute to Tofino.

Two large bedrooms with King beds and adjoining bathrooms.
Master bathroom has a spa experience with lakeview jetted tub and separate shower.
Loft with captain stairs and King size memory foam mattress.
Vaulted great room with authentic river rock electric fireplace and local art pieces.
The 2nd King bedroom has a cheater ensuite with glass shower.
There is a gourmet kitchen with dishwasher, the house has air conditioning.
Large BBQ on the sundeck.
Firepit at beach and gas firepit on the wharf.

There is a weathered cement and occasionally steep sidewalk to a gravel beach and a walkway to large stable wharf that can moor up to 22' boat.

The lakefront has deep clean water across from watersports club on Stirling Arm of Sproat Lake.

The cleaning fee is for the beds, bathrooms & floors. Please leave the kitchen and BBQ as clean as you found it, put away clean dishes and empty the fridge.

Rogers Cell service is reliable, wifi is reliable guests with carriers other than Rogers, fido should check their phones for wifi calling options.

The home is on a septic system so there are sanitary disposals available in the main bathrooms as there can be no products in the toilets except the toilet paper provided. and no bubble soap in the tub.

Out of respect for the neighbors and the low number of vacation rentals in the neighborhood this vacation rental is just for the family or couple (s) renting it, no extra overnight guests and no entertaining at the property, I'll consider a couple visitors during the day but advanced notice and approval would be required.

Children who could be considered responsible young adults are welcome, due to the nature of the property the steep sidewalk, indoor stairs and glass railings the property is not suitable for toddlers.

The property is dog friendly but please no dogs in the loft, in the jetted tub or running or playing fetch in the house, the pet fee is forwarded to the spca.

I'm the owner & I live in the basement suite but I try to give you all the privacy possible by not using the wharf while you are (just an occasional evening swim).

If you are booking for Summer 2023 I may have my boat moored at the wharf and I am considering having it available for guests to rent. Having said that I haven't had my boat in the water for 2 years.

The fireplace in the Great Room is spectacular but currently just for show and has an electric insert.

This vacation rental is suitable for families or quiet couples. No loud parties and quiet time by 11pm.

Please note if you are viewing this listing on vrbo the price defaults to USD. There is a tab on the top rh corner of the rates page to change the price to cdn. Please message me first before making a reservation online .

Off season monthly rentals negotiable.

Lovely property with spectacular view
Our family spent a week at this charming Sproat Lake home. If beautiful views, a tranquil environment, and the opportunity to experience a vacation home immediately upon a lake is what you are looking for, we highly recommend this home. First of all, the owner was lovely. Very kind, informative and attentive. She always responded very quickly to any questions. The style of the home was charming and comfortable. Very open, spacious and clean. Once again, the view is spectacular. Our family truly enjoyed our time together there. I should also mention, it was a quick drive to downtown Port Alberni for any supplies that we needed. It is a lovely community. This was our first visit to this beautiful area. It was wonderful during the summer, but I am certain it is beautiful year-round. We hope to return. We send our most sincere thanks, as the owner was a very thoughtful, caring and responsive host.

Fantastic getaway, quintessential westcoast retreat!
We have had a great week at Tania’s beautiful timber log cabin. Looking forward to returning in the fall to see the change of colors. We enjoyed the dock every afternoon, lots of swimming, reading and relaxing. The cabin is fully stocked with kitchen supplies, and it was great to have extra linens, swim towels and access to a washer and dryer. Thank you Tania! We had a great stay!

Hi I'm Tania,

I have been extremely fortunate to be an Island Girl and call this incredible place my home for the last 24 years. I am crazy about the outdoors and when I'm not working around the property or at my fulltime job as a millwright at the paper factory in town I am outside hiking with my dog Ralph, mountain biking on virtually private Sproat Lake trail system built by our incredible beloved Laker Gerry Nelson.
At least once a week I head to the coast to catch a few waves, if there's pow in the forecast it's off to Mount Washington in Comox for some snowboarding.

I enjoy having vacation guests experience my home and the amazing paradise where it is located.

Why they chose this property

Paradise on an Island in the Pacific

What makes this property unique

Fresh air, fresh water, nature trails, peace & quiet.
Mountain biking, boating, paddle boarding, hiking, surfing on the coast.
