Great for our group. Back deck overlooking the river was where we congregated. Quiet and peaceful. Great furniture, well-equipped, and interesting art work and books. Comfortable rooms with large common spaces. Great value for us and wonderful point of contact throughout.

Many thanks! We were delighted to host you and your group and are so pleased that you enjoyed your time at our home. We would welcome you back in a heartbeat.
A new guest house on a beautiful property! Very comfortable accommodations and a lovely pool the owners share with you. A quiet neighborhood with an unbeatable view. Bonus: 2 very friendly dogs that greeted us when ever we were coming and going.
Our family of 9 had a wonderful vacation on the Crystal River at the Weaver house! Our house was at the perfect location. Check-in was easy. Our host was amazing. We had no problems whatsoever we kayaked ,we swam went to an airshow. and enjoyed Lake Michigan. There is so much to do in Glen Arbor and this house was perfect for all of that. We will definitely be back

Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
We have been staying in Glen Arbor for over 40 years at different houses throughout the area. This was our seventh or eighth stay at the Weaver house. Last year new owners took over. While last year was fine, this past stay was very disappointing. On the first day we said something to the woman that was handling the rental about the water pressure in the kitchen being abysmal. It was difficult to rinse a dish or rinse out a dish cloth. She said she had noticed it while they were cleaning. Her only solution was to use the sprayer. This wasn’t any better! Seeing that it wasn’t going to get fixed, my husband went to the hardware store in town, but unfortunately they didn’t have the appropriate tool to fix it, so we just had to live with it. On our third day there, the air conditioning went out. We contacted that lady that could help us and the earliest she could get someone out was the next day. The repairman did come the following day and put coolant in it but said it was only temporary because he had been out two weeks prior for the same thing and they knew about the leak and it needed a more permanent fix. Mind you the temperature that week was the high 80’s into the 90’s. The temperature in the house came down a few degrees, but only lasted 24 hours. The hosts did nothing to help us even though they knew this was an issue before we got there. We did ask to be compensated, but now have now been ignored by the hosts. This was very sad and disappointing.

Thank you for your feedback. We are genuinely sorry that parts of your stay did not meet your expectations, especially since you have enjoyed vacationing at our home for many years.
Regarding the kitchen faucet, you notified us after your arrival, and we responded immediately. The issue was low pressure at the faucet—not a loss of water service—and a temporary workaround was provided using the two in one combination faucet/sprayer. We appreciate your patience while that was being addressed.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning developed a refrigerant leak during your stay. As soon as we were notified, we contacted our HVAC contractor, who came at the earliest available appointment the following day. While no homeowner can control when unexpected mechanical failures occur, we acted as quickly as possible to restore cooling. Following your stay, we authorized a complete replacement of the HVAC system rather than another temporary repair, ensuring future guests would not experience the same issue.
We understand that mechanical problems can be frustrating, particularly during a warm week, and we regret that they occurred during your vacation. We also respectfully disagree with the suggestion that we ignored the situation. We remained in communication throughout your stay on this and on many matters that you brought to our attention, promptly arranged professional service, and made the significant investment to permanently resolve the issue.
Since purchasing the home, we have been committed to preserving what guests have loved about it while continually investing in improvements. We value all guest feedback and strive to provide every visitor with an exceptional experience.

Why they chose this property
The proximity to everything that Glen Arbor has to offer! This is such a great location as a main hub. Everything is close and even walkable. We love going for morning coffee or walking down to see the sun set over Lake Michigan.
What makes this property unique
This property was owned by Michigan Supreme Court Justice Weaver. She lovingly took care of the property and was a fixture in the community. She endeavored to cultivate the serene and natural beauty along the river and so do we. The river is the standout feature, but the grounds are equally beautiful.
