Great property. Well suited for a large family or several small ones like ours. Tremendous location with view of the dunes, sandy beach, and close proximity to Glen Arbor.
We stayed with our children and my parents, and it was a really wonderful experience. The privacy of the basement gave my parents some space from the chaos of our young family. The kitchen was very well equipped, the home was decorated with care and character, the gardens around the property were all so beautiful, and the location right on Little Glen is ideal, especially for little ones! We hope to stay again in the future!!
Love this property! You can tell the owner takes pride in her garden and interior decorating. Loved the personal touches in each room. The location was great and close to town and lots of activities. Had a memorable time!
This was our third visit to this property. Of all the vacations we have taken over the years, this is the only place that my kids (& husband) want to return to each year.
We love the coziness of the house and the location on little Glen Lake. The view of Sleeping Bear Dunes, across the lake, is lovely!
This house was perfect for our family. The location on Little Glen is spectacular with incredible views and perfect water frontage. The house is very comfortable and the host was easy to work with and responsive. We loved all of the art work and character. The bathrooms are all updated and very nice. The gardens on the property are very well maintained and such a nice bonus. I highly recommend this spot for an amazing visit to the most beautiful place in Michigan!

We are thrilled you enjoyed our home!
We look forward to having you stay in the future ☺️
All the bedrooms were great and each had a degree of privacy so we didn’t feel on top of each other. The common areas were terrific too. Water, dock and beach front are amazing!! Great for children and adults.

We had the most peaceful stay at Kindred Cabin. The gardens, view, and house were beautifully maintained and so special. Kitchen was great for cooking, used the slow cooker to start dinner so we could go on hikes, dunes, and beach, to return to dinner and relax. My kids loved the kayaks and hammock. Hope to return again!

Our family absolutely loved our time here! The house is very well appointed - just lovely. We cooked most of our meals in and the kitchen had all the tools we needed.
Adults and kids loved the beach, dbl kayaks, dock, and the use of the mooring for our jet ski. The location is perfectly situated between Empire and Glen Arbor. Sunset views over the Sleeping Bear dunes were gorgeous. We’ve always stayed on Big Glen, but this location is much more peaceful.
Excellent hosts!

We had a wonderful time with our family of 9 (including our 3 grandkids). The location can't be beat. The kids loved the gentle slope of the lake and the shallow water. We were able to easily moor our pontoon away from the dock for quick access. We could just hop on the bike trail to the climbing dunes. The roomy home is a blend of rustic cabin and modern updates. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to enjoy cooking meals for the family. We had great time!
We had an amazing stay. The house is everything advertised and more. For us, it was the perfect combination of well appointed, with amazing little touches, but also retained a cabin-like feel that we want in a lake retreat. It was sufficiently large enough for eight people, but not over-the-top, keeping with the cozy up-north feel. It has everything you need and is well laid out. The location on Little Glen is off the charts, with a great view of Sleeping Bear Dunes and the amazing shallow water with a soft sandy bottom for hundreds of yards out. The balcony and fire pit area are awesome and a great way to relax. It's close to Empire with its stellar beach, Glen Arbor with its great shops and restaurants and is across the street from awesome hiking trails. It was an inspiring place to spend a week and we look forward to coming back again next year.

Thank you! We look forward to having you stay again!
The first impression one gets when arriving at the house is the peace and tranquillity provided by the lake and the property. A perfect view of the lake and its surroundings are offered directly from almost every angle of the property. As the stay went on, our entire party marveled at some of the other aspects of the location as we rode bikes with our little ones to places like Empire for ice cream, the dune climb (only 1.5 miles away), and Glen Arbor. We were able to do all of this via the gorgeous (and safe) Heritage Bike Trail. The house itself met our needs perfectly with plentiful space, very clean rooms, and comfortable beds. Overall the house offered a fantastic week as we were all in and out of the water, constantly having a blast!

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay! And super excited to hear you used the amazing heritage trail and found the home suited your needs. Thank you for staying!
Our family of six has stayed at the Kindred Cabin several summers. It NEVER disappoints! No matter the ages or phases of my kids, each one of us truly enjoys every moment we spend here in this perfectly curated, decorated home. The view of Little Glen Lake, the breeze and the sounds of the waves make the this the most peaceful and picturesque place to spend quality time with my favorite people. We were nestled in Bt two darling towns, close to Sleeping Bear Dunes, sooo many biking and hiking trails, paddle boarding and canoeing on the clear waters of the lake, floating on the Platte, visiting nearby beaches and searching Petosky stones, making s’mores, utilizing the grill and outdoor patio, and honestly I could rave about this special spot endlessly!! Owners are amazing and love to share special tips and fun ideas to best utilize our time Up North. We hope to always carve out time to make this trip a family tradition!

And we love to have you!
Thanks for always being a great guest.-Kelley and John.
The property was just as advertised. It is an awesome place to stay. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for out stay. It was spacious, and cozy with a beautiful view. Slept great in the comfy master bed. We had a couple questions while we were there and Kelley, the host, answered us promptly. The accommodations were amazing but so was the location. So much to see and do. We hiked, rode bikes, kayaked and enjoyed dinners in the quaint town of Glen Arbor.
Nights were spent by the outdoor firepit or stargazing off dock. We really enjoyed climbing Sleeping Bear Dunes which was just a quick bike ride from the cottage. It was just my husband and I but look forward to going back with the family. The grandkids would love it. Highly Recommend.
