This semi-rural mountainside retreat is the ideal prescription for the city-weary seeking an outdoor adventure or peace and space to relax. In the summer, enjoy local fishing, hiking, bird watching, canoeing, and kayaking during the day and unwind under the stars at night. In the winter you can enjoy skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, and sledding or settle down and sink into the microfiber couches relaxing in front of the wood-burning stove. Located only 2 hours from NYC, Albany, and Syracuse.

This listing in located in a 'semi-rural' area where it is part countryside but has a small suburban feel while driving through towns. Cell phone service is limited and street lighting is limited in certain areas. Please consider this when booking with regards to "Location". In the winter months, Vehicles with 4-wheel drive are highly recommended and preferred as the driveway has a small ascent to the house.

An absolutely fantastic stay from start to finish! The place was spotless, beautifully maintained, and even better than the photos. The location was perfect—convenient yet peaceful—and made getting around effortless. The host was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and thoughtful, making sure everything was comfortable and stress-free. Every detail was clearly well considered, and it truly felt like a home away from home. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would 100% stay here again. Highly recommended!

clean and peaceful

we have stayed at this location before and I didnt even remember. When we arrived there was a problem with the door code and there was no signal to contact Doug. Finally had a family member contacted him through texting and got the proper code. Other than that everything was great! House was so clean and had everything we needed. Great location for peace and quiet and a chance to disconnect.
