Excellent location and very nice house. Steps from the Porter Square T, a surprising amount of living/dining space, and the host was available when needed. Thanks for a great stay.
Me and my friends stayed in this place over the weekend. Everything was clean and as described. We did have a fairly major plumbing issue while we were staying, but Marc was in constant contact with us and was able to get a plumber in to fix it. The location is good, with plenty of accessability to restaurants, stores, and transportation.

The house is in an excellent, very convenient neighborhood--right near where my father lives--which is why I selected it. I also selected it because it was advertised as having air-conditioning. However, when I arrived and turned the thermostat down from 78 to 70 and 71, the host messaged me that it was not permitted to have the air temp below 74 or 75. He had changed it back "via the app," he told me, and said I would be expected to "follow the House Rules." The bathrooms were clean, but the door knobs on every door were filthy--Sticky and grimy. The microwave was also grimy. One of the steps to the second floor had two nail heads protruding dangerously. One of the front steps up to the front door was broken, also dangerous. The downstairs smelled like a moldy basement. Also, on the "welcome home" card, placed by the front door, guests are asked "a small favor" to water the (numerous, large) potted plants, and told that it makes people feel good to water plants. I did not water any plants. I would not recommend and will not want to go back.
Marc's Home was wonderful. The home was uniquely decorated with worldly art pieces that have clearly taken many thoughtful years to curate. The home was a located on a quiet street right around the corner from many shops, restaurants, and transit options. All of the beds were very comfortable and our group slept well each night.
Our host Marc was easy and quick to communicate with us and answered any and all questions we had leading up to and during our stay. I would recommend Marc's place for any small group or family looking for a quiet, tasteful, and unique stay in the Cambridge/Somerville area!
Lovely spot on a quiet street steps away from Mass Ave and Porter Square. Plenty of space and everything was neat and tidy. Clear and easy check-in. Coffee and bagels and other retail options within a few minutes’ walk. I would definitely come back here.

Negative side. Did not leave house by 10 a.m. check out time incorrectly believing it was 10.30. Cleaner had to wait 37 minutes.
Positive side: repaired pull chain on toilet that broke and left house clean. Followed all other rules
Communicative host & spacious home in perfect location!
If you’re looking for a place to stay in Cambridge, look no further! This house has a charming character both due to it being a historical home and Marc’s exquisite decorating. Marc is attentive without being overbearing, quickly responsive, and thinks ahead on key details to make your stay perfect. My family and I stayed for my graduation weekend, and Marc was wonderfully gracious—even letting us leave our bags for a few hours after checkout so we wouldn’t have to lug them around the city before our flights. The house is clean, interesting, and the downstairs is quite roomy. Definitely would stay here again!
