The house was perfect for our daughters intimate wedding (39 guests). Both families spent 4 days together and there was more than enough room for all of us. The outdoor patio and view made for a perfect wedding venue. Host was always very quick ro respond, excellent communication. If a private chef or catering are needed don't hesitate to connect with Darins Event Catering, food was superb. Jackie Waters Photograhy is excellent. This venue will not disappoint!
You truly can’t ask for a better stay in Northern Virginia. The property is absolutely stunning, with every amenity thoughtfully curated for comfort and relaxation. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, sauna, and cold plunge, and ended our evenings around the fire pit. The kitchen was fully equipped and perfect for cozy nights in. The location is also fantastic, just a short drive to Shenandoah National Park and the Luray Caverns for easy day trips. Highly recommend this stay to anyone visiting the area!
We rented Mountain Mama Ranch for the main purpose of hosting a small, private, wedding ceremony. My family and some close friends stayed at the venue for a long weekend (check in Thursday, check out Sunday morning), and the accommodations were wonderful. Aside from my 13-year-old daughter, it was only adults for the trip; but the rooms were spacious and private, there was ample closet and bathroom space, and tons to do. We liked that there were small areas (lounges and the like) for people to break off into little groups or pairs if you wanted some private time, but when the time came for group meals or games there was also plenty of room for everyone to come together to eat and socialize. We made full use of kitchen, doing all our own cooking; and the pool and exercise room were used every day. The theater room, lounge, and bar area downstairs was also a big hit. For the day of the wedding proper we mostly stuck to the area around the pool. The outdoor plugola was our backdrop and we used the grill and outdoor tables and chairs for the gathering after. Our guest total for the wedding was about 30 people, while we were around 13 for the overnight guests. The views were stunning and the setting was everything we could have hoped for. Communication and coordinating with the Hosts was easy thanks to app, and Jessica was always incredibly attentive. Thank you again Jessica and Mountain Mama Ranch for making our special day so great!
OMG, this property is truly amazing! If I could give it 100 stars I would, everything from communicating with the property manager to checking in, checking out and everything in between was top notch. We only spent 2 nights at the property and, unfortunately, could not take advantage of the 100 acres and the various amenities due to my son's wedding. We will definitely plan a family trip back to the Mountain Estate in the upcoming year. Jessica was amazing and very responsive. She gave me a last minute deal and was so very accommodating. The house had more than enough space for my family. The young adults were "wow"ed by the basement and the amenities. I enjoyed preparing breakfast in the kitchen and sitting in a small area that has gorgeous, big windows that look out to the backyard and the mountains. Each room had its own bathroom and it was a bonus to have a room and full bathroom on the main level for my aunt who has limited mobility.Mountain Estate is truly a gem!
We couldn’t have found a better place to stay with friends during our motorcycle trip to the Shenandoah Mountains! The ranch is ideally located just outside DC, offering easy access to Shenandoah National Park, wineries, and charming nearby towns. The house itself is spacious and comfortable, with excellent amenities—perfect for our group. We especially loved the stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains that greeted us from every corner of the property. A major highlight was relaxing around the fire pit while enjoying spectacular sunsets over the mountains. We also enjoyed seeing the cherry blossoms and the majestic longhorns peacefully roaming the pastures, making our stay even more memorable. The wellness garden with the hot tub and sauna was another fantastic feature, perfectly suited for the cool weather and beautifully arranged.Above all, the entire farm team was incredibly welcoming and attentive. They even helped us set up the fire pit, making our experience truly special.Highly recommended—I’d return in a heartbeat!
