We really enjoyed having a house to truly relax in and provide for all of our needs. We could have meals "at home" and easily walk to the downtown district. The Aunt Rose house was just what we needed.

Clean and quiet guests who kept the place very clean. They left several nice reviews in my guest book, on the whiteboard on the refrigerator, and in the guest comment sheet! That was very much appreciated!
The accommodation was nice. Very clean. However, there was a lot of noise throughtout the day caused by a dog in the upstairs unit.

I'm sorry you were disappointed. We have been pet free for years.
As I explained day one, I had to accept the pet that was claimed to be support animal. If I don't the platform will degrade my advertising.
As I explained, I cannot request documentation or proof when booked on the platforms. I spoke to the guest and on day two you said everything was much quieter. I was under the understanding that the problem was solved.
I understand you are very disappointed because you said would have brought your pet. I do not accept pets. That said, I cannot deny someone who has a support animal claimed. Paid sites
I will talk to VRBO and see if they can set something up so hosts can require documentation.
The only other thing I can think of is to require documentation when they show up and if they do not have it maybe I can cancel their stay.
Older home on a beautiful tree lined street, peaceful and quiet. It was clean and well kept up. We have been coming to Monroe for 8 years to walleye fish in our camper. This was the first year without the RV and the house worked out very well and the location was good for our need.
Very comfortable. Close to everything. We all had plenty of space.

Neighbothood
Not a lot of nice pictures of the outside because the neighborhood it's not one I would want to leave my car unlocked in. The inside of the home was nice but I had less rules in elementary school than what are taped all over the walls here. We stay at a lot of VRBO locations and for the price this is one we would not revisit.

1 note on the fridge regarding trash day, 1 note with checkout instructions.
Asking them to move their boat off the lawn, and to pay $80 of the $125 to replace the broken 2 year old box spring is really the reason for the low rating.
This historic neighborhood is mentioned favorably in our guest books by long term guests who walked and biked to work - describing it as friendly. Government officials living nearby and children playing in the parks and yards appear to be comfortable. It also shows as the safest neighborhood in the City of Monroe… https://www.neighborhoodscout.com/mi/monroe/crime
The place was really nice, very clean and very homey. We loved staying here and had an awesome time fishing lake Erie. The house itself is great and Aunt Rose was awesome. We highly recommend any one of her properties.

Comfortable and quiet retreat in southeast Michigan
This great little 2 bedroom home perfectly met our needs. The home is well equipped with everything one might need for a brief or extended stay. The house was clean and the beds and furniture were very comfortable! The street is very quiet, and there were nice sidewalks for walking our dogs. The people of the town are very friendly, and Aunt Rose was very responsive to our needs. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Nice place to stay to explore the area
We enjoyed our stay at Aunt Rose’s Place. She had everything we needed available. Aunt Rose even left us cold water in the fridge and ice in the freezer. She also had a shelf with some books, puzzles, and games.
We went to some parks in the area and enjoyed a twilight walk at the Battlefield by the River Raisin. The house is close to Toledo. We enjoyed a day at the zoo. We also visited the Great Lakes Museum. If you are interested in the Great Lakes this is a must see. You can also tour a freighter. We also went back to Toledo for an evening Mudhens game. If you love baseball you will love this venue. We were so close to the game.

Clean and convenient
Aunt Roses Place was clean and comfortable. We found it had all the essentials we needed. Perfect for visiting family in surrounding communities. Rose responded to our concerns immediately
As a retired utility worker who lived out of a suitcase this would have been wonderful. Living in a hotel for months at a time was less than desirable. With their coin laundry down the hall I found my clothes on the floor while someone else took the dryer. That won’t happen here! When I got sick on the road it would have been so nice to be able to walk into the kitchen and make a cup of tea or pot of soup and not have to drag myself out to get food three times a day because I didn't have room in the small frig for leftovers much less fresh food and beverages for my stay, and it cost the company a lot more than Aunt Rose’s Place would have! I stayed at Uncle Bill's Place in AZ many years ago and enjoyed the concept so much it became a dream of mine to provide such housing here in Monroe, so I'm giving it a go!
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with this house the moment I saw it! It was built in 1897 and has so much charm. I added central air in the spring and replacement windows in the fall of 2017. The house is very well kept and clean. It is close (0.7 mi) to town and many industries. 30 miles to Detroit or Toledo, 40 miles to Canada, 45 miles to Ann Arbor. The neighbors are friendly and keep their places up nicely. The yard next door is like a botanical garden and creates a wonderful view from the kitchen windows!
What makes this property unique
We are walking distance from so much in Downtown Monroe. There is a bike shop down the street, bars, eateries, bakery, handmade candy store, Monroe Museum, and a theater among other interests within walking distance. In January and July Monroe is a buzz with free Blues and Jazz respectively.
