Parking was great! We appreciated the ramps! Cabin was comfy and clean. We enjoyed exploring the area and hope to be back. We appreciated the extra time for check out and the great communication.
It is a very nice cabin—clean, quiet, peaceful. The hostess was very responsive. It was handicap accessible which is a must and hard to find in Grand Lake. It met our needs and then some!
We visited the week after July 4th and were definitely surprised to find such a well kept place in such a great location with reasonable pricing! The room was perfect for our family with our two toddlers and our dog. The beds were comfy and there was a full kitchenette that we were able to cook in. Everything was clean and the garden area was very nice. This place is within the village and within walking distance to most everything in Grand Lake. RMNP West gate was only about 6 minutes away.
Emails made check-in very easy. All needed information was sent ahead of reservation.Gabrielle kept in contact and was so happy to help us make our stay as enjoyable as possible. My husband has mobility issues (uses a walker and a mobility scooter as needed) and the property was just as described. Very roomy - lovely walk-in shower - easy access to the town of Grand Lake. The courtyard is beautifully "overgrown" allowing for privacy and the feeling of being in a bit of forest all around!Gazebo, gas grill and tables available too.Had a bit of a problem with TV remote- but suspect "operator error"! We did let Gabrielle know and she offered to send someone over right away but we were not in town at the time and missed her message.NOT really a big deal... we didn't come here to watch TV anyway! Enjoy the beautiful lakes and forest! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Really quaint and rustic studio smelled nice. The bedding and linens were fabulous and smelled nice. The abundance of towels were fluffy and absorbant and we did not run out of any supplies. We were pleased with the good selection of cookware, dishes and flatware and extra trash bags. The full-size refrigerator was great and we thought the old-fashioned enamel coated kitchen sink was adorable. Water pressure was awesome and the hot water came fast! Our dog loved being with us and we were grateful for being allowed to have him. We loved the sizable bathroom and shower too. We were not happy with how dirty all the glasses/dishes/pots & pans and eating utensils were as well as the stove top being splattered with grease. The dish soap provided did not clean well and left a residue on everything. We went out and bought Dawn to clean the dishes before we used them and afterwards, of course. Every surface over 5 feet tall was coated in thick dust. We were sneezing continuously. The crank window over our bed did not work well and we had to manually open it. The exhaust fan in the bathroom had over a year's worth of clogging dust. We tried to clean it ourselves so the fan could actually exhaust the steam better. I wish they would have provided a carpet sweeper. The lamp shades and curtains all had a thick coating of dust. There were stains on the bed skirt of some unknown white substance. Some deeper cleaning is needed but otherwise the location is great and the unit itself not bad.
