The location was just a block or two from the hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, The Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace. We had a view from our Terrace of the Marmara Sea and the boat traffic. Our host was exceptional and allowed us to drop our bags hours before check in time and checked us in early. He arranged our shuttle from the airport and made reservations for us at the Hurrem Hamam. There was water in the fridge and wine on the counter when we checked in. Th host was so friendly and accommodating. We can’t say enough positive things about the apartment. Very clean, well furnished, and comfortable. Our apartment was two flights of stairs, no elevator, but out host helped us with our luggage up the stairs. I would book again.

We had two separate stays in this apartment in Istanbul.The first stay was arranged through VRBO. That stay worked out really well.For our second stay, Yuksei, the manager, suggested that we pay him in cash and not use the VRBO reservation system.That was a mistake. We are having a dispute with Yuksei regarding something that happened during the second stay. It was not a VRBO stay, but Yuksei is posting messages on the VRBO website and harassing us.In the living room, there is a previous broken coffee table that was held together by two or more strips of black tape. After our stay, Yuksei removed the strips of tape in order to take a photo. But even without the tape, the photo shows that the laminate on the table was peeling off and the table had problems with it. Since we put some weight on the table and contributed to the problem, we were willing to discuss how we could share in the cost of the table. But we are not responsible for replacing the entire table. Instead of discussing next steps and how we could share in the cost of the table, Yuksei sent us a bill for 70 and posted a number of unkind comments on the VRBO website. Again, this was not a VRBO stay. Yuksei also said "please stop write me," but he continues to ask for money.If you think about renting this apartment from Yuksei, think long and hard.

You are still not honest. I can’t believe how a people can be dishonest. You offer me to pay cash to take discount and this is normal. And how how a broken table can be kept in the flat. If yes, why didn’t you tell me that the table is already broken it’s not about us. And why didn’t you let me know when you left the flat. How a broken table can be held with tape. I am surprising that you didn’t even say we sorry we broke your table. Is anything else we can do? You didn’t even tel l me l, you just left the flat without letting me know. Which absolutely sure that you broke it. And shame you went to criticized us… I manage for almost 20 years. I never seen Guest such as you… A person never be a liar for such as small things. Shame.. I wish we have had never host you.
