Beautiful Lake front property with all the amenities, including Central Air Conditioning, Laundry, Central Vacuum, Wifi, Flat Screen TV, Blu Ray DVD and more. A grill is available for use on the back deck, to complement the stove and oven for all your food preparation needs. Ample outdoor seating, including a picnic table can accommodate large groups of diners.

This newly constructed home has all the things you would need to create fantastic summer memories, including Fishing, Campfires, Kayaking, Canoeing, and Pedal Boating available to lazily tour the 2.2 miles of shoreline on Silver Lake. A floating dock also provides a great jumping off point to further explore the beach and the sand bar volleyball area.

A Little Piece of Paradise

The lake house here in Shapleigh Maine was a truly unique property and experience. The quiet lake was a perfect place to relax and find some tranquillity and the property came with all the amenities you could possibly need to make the most of your visit. A short drive to a various of other activities or to resupply, but you never need to leave to get the full experience, be it the gorgeous sunsets filled with loon calls, to paddling out to the lakes sandbar to play a game of volleyball.

Great Lake and House

Matt was amazing with communication! The house is right on the water and the kayaks, rowboat and paddleboards along with their float give you many options on how you want to spend your time on the lake! Matt is very generous with the many amenties that are there for you in the house. The central air was also very nice to keep the house comfortable for sleeping! The loons and the American Bald eagles were beautiful to see and listen to. We had an amazing and relaxing time! Thank you Matt and family!

Silver Lake Family Fun

We had a great time. The house had all one would need for a week by the lake. plenty of kayaks, canoe, paddle boat and of course the floaties. The floating dock is always awesome. Listening to the loons is so cool. Time around the fire pit at night just as fun. Plenty of chairs for all especially the reclining zero gravity chairs.The lake is so quiet other than a boat now and then that would pass. My daughter and her friend both 13 caught several fish off the dock. A big thank you to the Wardles.

Great time on the lake!

This was my family’s first trip to Shapleigh and we had really enjoyed our stay! PROS - although a little small for our family of 6 adults and 2 kids it definitely worked and was updated/clean and had all of the amenities that you could possibly need. The welcome book with info about Shapleigh, the home and things to do in the area was a really nice personal and informative touch! The owners had the place stocked with everything from paper products/spices for cooking to rainy day entertainment…books/games/fish poles/big screen TV and Netflix which came in handy! The yard set up from fire pit, yard games, super comfy hammock to little sandy beach area was ideal and our daily float or kayak to the sandbar was always fun for the kids! Only CONS I had from my stay was #1 another bathroom would've been great (the owners did say they were going to be updating and adding in additional bath eventually) and the rooms were a good size so another bed in the queen room would be nice for families/friends traveling as single adults) and #2 the fact the it was a little out of the way from things... grocery store/liquor store was about 26 minutes away but that definitely wouldn’t deter us from renting again considering we were there to enjoy the beautiful home and lake which although small, (the sandy area in front was swimmable and luckily, the real mucky areas were only the sides of the dock closer to the other properties.) all in all great stay! We rent a new place each year and my 8 year old nephew said that this was his favorite thus far! Thank you for having us Dina and Matt!

Awesome

The house was perfect, everything you need is provided. We had an awesome time and the weather was perfect. The owners were very accommodating and answered all our questions. The house was spotless and the central air on the really hot days is a bonus. There were plenty of kayaks and canoe's for use on the water. The lake was very quiet and clean. The sandbar was great. I would highly recommend this house for your vacation. A 5 star !!

Great modern lake house.

We traveled to Maine with 2 small kids (3 and 6), they loved the lake and were in the water constantly for the week we were there (August). The Owner happened to be there when we arrived so he showed us the property and was very helpful. We used all of the water toys and boats that are in the pictures plus they had some fishing rods the kids used as well, both from the shore and the wood float. The house was great, nice grill on the porch and central air which is rare in Maine, the house was recently built and everything is new there (unlike most of the rental we found on VRBO). We would definitely like to go back next summer.

Beautiful property on quiet lake.

House is very nicely kept and organized. Air conditioning was a plus on a couple of warm humid days. Owners are amazing and so helpful. Plenty to do for families on the lake. Great for younger children as there is a sandy bottom near lake entrance. Would most definitely return. (Our youngest asked can we live here!!)
