Wonderful property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. It is secluded and peaceful. Plenty of room to spread out both inside and outside. The lake was beautiful. We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing. The owners were wonderful and very accommodating. We would recommend this property to anyone!

Amazing place!

We had ten family members for a much overdue reunion and the place was perfect! Plenty of room, clean, and the view and beach were amazing. We were outside the whole time. Tom and Shelly were great, super responsive and always eager to help. Will definitely come again!

Great Vacation House!

What an amazing house for our first family vacation! The beach was perfect for children and we caught lots of fish out on the dock. Great sun all day and amazing views of the mountains as well! We have already booked again for next year.

Perfect vacation home away from home!

Beautiful home, great location, perfect beach and everything you could possibly need included with the home. The sunsets put on a different show every night....simply gorgeous! Tom and Shelley went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. Made for a very memorable family vacation week!

Right on the Lake!

The house at Pine River Pond had all the comforts of home from the kitchen to the wifi and anything you might need to enjoy the lake. It is very remote but there are restaurants and supplies nearby. The house is nicer than the pictures, comfortable and very well maintained. We were able to relax and not worry about a thing. Day trips to Portland/Freeport, North Conway and Wolfeboro areas all about 45 min - 1 1/2 hrs away.

Amazing and relaxing!

Our weekend away was perfect in Tom and Shelly’s home. It had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was fully stocked with all utensils and tools you could possibly need. The house was clean, warm and inviting. Tom came by to say hello, which was nice because we typically don’t get to meet the home owners when we rent a place. There was 10 of us and we fit perfectly in the space. Even though it is winter, the house has a beautiful view of the pond and it’s surroundings. Thanks again Tom and Shelly for a wonderful birthday weekend!

Best Vacation Ever!

We just returned from a week at this house and already our kids want to go back. We have been renting houses on various lakes in Maine and NH for the past 10 years and by all of our family's votes - this is our favorite. For a family like ours, with kids who are 11, 8, and 2, this house had plenty for every age. The sandy beach and gradual entry into the water was perfect for our toddler and the older boys loved the swimming, boating, jumping off the floating dock, tether ball, bocce, and even the swings. Plenty to do inside too with board games, a nice video selection, and even an extra table for setting up a puzzle. Best of all, for us, was the view! Even my 8 year old commented on it. The picture posted here is basically what you see from the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Really a spectacular and very relaxing vacation! Thank you, Daniels family, for sharing this special home with us.

Tremendous Vacation / Retreat Property

What a great time we had this past year (2017) at the Daniels rental home. The property is fantastic for large groups of 12, including kids of all ages. Lots to do for everyone. Very accommodating. Home: Classic lake front home/cottage, well maintained, clean, functional. Appliances and furniture are in updated. Kitchen is fully stocked. Large table for groups to sit down. Plenty of bedding to spread out. Deck is more than adequate for dining, lounging, with deck lighting and outdoor speakers to kick back and relax. Downstairs, is a bar with frig and counters. Leads to the deck and beach. The water is literally 10 yards from the deck. One of the few properties with a beach. Again, very nice. Property: So much to review, but here's the deal. We planned on leaving the property to visit local attractions. We never left the vacation home. Plenty to do. Horse shoes, tether ball, rope swing, swimming, sandy beach, lounging, boat dock (bring your own if you wish). We were lucky enough to have the water trampoline, which was a huge hit for kids. They literally spent hours on that thing every day. The lake/pond is a private community, so boat traffic was minimal, water was extremely clean/clear. Again, second to none. Landlord: Tom and Shelly are two of the nicest folks that you will ever meet. They are next door, but give you full privacy for are not intruding in the least bit. They were very responsive to any request, and quite honestly, not sure how they could improve as an owner. Finally, to Tom and Shelly, thank you for you hospitality and generosity. You welcomed us into your home, and we left with a great experience, wonderful vacation, and memories that we will never forget. Heck, we even got to be part of a movie casting at the general store. You are very lucky to have a great piece of property.

Five senior friends totally enjoyed this rental experience. The house was perfect for our needs and the view was wonderful. There was nothing we would have changed about the accommodations and our mini reunion was perfect. We plan to return in the spring and would recommend this rental to anyone.

Lake front vacation

Shirley & Tom were wonderful, they answered all our questions before our vacation started promptly, the house was beautiful with little extras to make us feel welcome inside. The beach front was perfect for my 9 month old grandson to explore his first time at the beach. We fished off the privet dock, paddled along the lake in the provided kayaks, the Mountain View was beautiful with the most amazing sunsets. We had fires on the private beach in front of the house with the stars twinkling above. The path from the driveway to the house was well lit and the cobble stone made it an easy walk with luggage and a baby.

Great getaway for a long weekend of fishing.

Awesome property to stay at if you’re looking to get a little ice fishing in. Can’t beat the proximity to the water and we were catching perch all weekend long. Excellent communication with the Tom and Shelly.

What an amazing property!

We came up for a bachelor weekend getaway and were immediately impressed with the property! Beautiful construction, great landscaping and maintenance. As if the outside wasn’t good enough with the views, the games, and available toys for use, you go inside to amazing decor, the most comfortable mattress I’ve slept on for sure, and so much interesting memorabilia from years past! I can’t recommend this property enough! Thank you again to the Daniel’s for an amazing stay!

Fantastic place to stay in NH

Tom and Shelly go above and beyond to make their home comfortable for their guests. The entire property is immaculate and beautiful and they are extremely thoughtful in terms of amenities. They are also very friendly and did everything to make sure our stay was perfect. We had an amazing visit and it was very convenient to attend a nearby wedding.

Shelly and Tom Daniels grew up in the Boston area. Tom from Medfield and Shelly from Newburyport. We lived in Newburyport before work took us to Minnesota and Maryland and then back to Newburyport. After vacationing with our 4 kids at multiple lakes around New Hampshire and Maine, we just fell in love with Pine River Pond, the crystal clear water, and the outstanding views of Mount Shaw (Castle in the Clouds) from our property.

In fact, we liked it so much, we bought the house next door and now live there year-round.

Great 4-season house. Whether you are looking for a weekend getaway, winter ice fishing, fall foliage, snowmobiling or looking to ski.

The water here is crystal clear. Not to scare you, but if you look off the docks and into the water, you'll see fish swimming around. Sandy beach, great views. Location, location, location.

This is a great 4-season house for that multi-generational vacation. Gentle sloping property makes it easy to get around. Adults can sit on the deck and keep an eye on the kids playing on the beach or in the water.
