About this property
"The Hollies" Wine Country Victorian Farmhouse
About this space
Our home is a Victorian farmhouse on 7 acres in an apple orchard with a redwood grove, a pond, and barns. The main house, built in 1910 and remodeled in 1996, is surrounded by an English garden and is on a quiet country lane. The upstairs is a lovely private suite with a private entrance. We book to only one party at a time (read full description) and the home is fully air conditioned. I am a professional artist and Al is an author of children's books. Come visit our little piece of heaven!
The space
The entire upstairs is a private suite with a private entrance. One or both large bedrooms and a full bathroom are available. We host only ONE party at a time. Children under 5 are free. Each bedroom is quite spacious and there is a separate sitting area with a mini frig, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, microwave and a small kitchen table for eating or using as a desk space.
We provide a welcome basket your first morning to get you started and sometimes apples from our trees when in season! Coffee, tea, and juice are available all day long. Our laundry area and an ironing board are available if you should need them and there is a bathtub downstairs.
Also, for your information, our home and property are also available for weddings (ceremony only). Please inquire for pricing.
Guest access
"The Hollies" is named for a holly tree in our front yard. We love the branches at Christmastime! You can walk the seven acre property, the quiet country lane, and visit our redwood grove. There are several areas for a picnic, including a lovely grape arbor. Our pond is not fenced so care with children is advised and there is no barn access without the host. There are also many other lovely places to walk and children love to see the occasional deer or the cows in the pasture nearby. Relax on the porch in the evening and on a clear night there are so many stars! City dwellers love it here! Other things to note This property was at one time a working farm so please be careful on walks.

Wonderful hospitality by host and clean, comfortable stay all around (king bed, big bathroom with lots of towels, efficiency kitchen), with fun antique dishware & silverware!
Our stay was fantastic! The home is beautiful, and the location is quiet and convenient to the coast, wineries, good food and hiking. Our hosts were wonderful; they communicated quickly whenever we had questions. We would definitely stay here again when we are in the area.
We had a lovely stay at The Hollies. The yard and the whole area were stunning. The home felt like a warm hug. Dee was very quick to respond with any questions we had and provided everything we needed. It was a treat to visit her studio!
Our stay at this beautiful Victorian home was nothing short of magical. The attention to detail from the antique furnishings to the host’s beautiful artwork made our experience truly exceptional. The location was ideal, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and restaurants. I highly recommend this lovely Victorian retreat to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable getaway. We can’t wait to return.
The house was charming and cleaning and cozy, the hosts were friendly and sweet and provided bagels and fruit and oatmeal for a nice breakfast. Dee is a fabulous artist, love her paintings that are hanging around the house. I'll have to come back again when I have more free time to enjoy the beautiful outdoor area.
Charming farmhouse that is quaint, comfortable, very clean, and decorated with the owners art work. Dee and Al are gracious hosts who showed us around their property and painting studio. We saw the redwoods, orchard, flower gardens, along with wildlife- deer, turkeys, quail. From our location we went to Bodaga Bay, Armstrong Park, Bohemian Highway, Korbel champagne and wineries. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit
The Hollies is a beautiful and peaceful experience. The accommodations were very comfortable and we enjoyed the extra special artwork throughout the space. Dee and Al are wonderful, kind hosts. They went above and beyond in being so gracious and patient, especially with my fussy 7-month-old baby. My only regret was not having more time to spend at their lovely home and the surroundings. I highly recommend staying here.
Had a lovely stay upstairs at the Hollies. The house was charming and nestled in an apple orchard which we were free to pick. While there isn’t a kitchen a microwave, coffee maker and fridge stocked with homemade jam and cream made our stay very comfortable. The beds were big and the rooms bright. Being an older house we could hear the owners tv downstairs at times and I’m sure they could hear us as well but it didn’t bother us. When my daughter left a book behind it was promptly mailed back to her which was really going above and beyond. Overall a great stay!
