About this property

Downtown Wasilla Lakefront Home w/private dock

This 3 BR, 2.5 BA home accommodates up to 8 guests. Groceries, restaurants, banks, bars, retail stores, Iditarod headquarters, and AK railroad train station <1 mile away within walking distance. Southwest-facing windows for great sun and incredible lake views. Hosted by a lifelong 4th-generation Alaskan. Floatplane tours for flightseeing, fishing, etc, can pick you up at the house.

Just 23 feet from the back door to the water, this lakefront home on Lake Lucille offers a front-row seat to Alaska’s natural beauty. Watch swans glide by, listen to loons echo across the lake, and keep an eye out for moose, muskrats, ducks, and eagles that occasionally perch right on the rooftop.

Despite the peaceful, natural surroundings, you’re only walking distance from downtown Wasilla, giving you the perfect balance of quiet seclusion and convenient access to local shops, restaurants, and activities. Whether you're kayaking from the shore, ice skating in winter, or simply relaxing with a view, this home offers a unique connection to nature without sacrificing comfort or convenience.

The space:
Here’s a quick look at the layout and features of the home:

Two bright living rooms, a welcoming space with a comfy sofa, a Smart TV, and plenty of room to unwind after a day of adventure.

A kitchen fully equipped with all the essentials: cookware, dishes, utensils, a full-size fridge, stove, microwave, and coffee maker. Perfect for home-cooked meals or quick snacks.

A cozy dining table where you can enjoy meals, play games, or plan your day.

Three bedrooms, each with comfortable beds, fresh linens, pillows, and extra blankets. Closets provide space for your belongings.

A washer and dryer are available for your convenience, along with detergent.

Please note: The garage and the north end of the backyard are not part of the guest space. The owner may occasionally access these areas to retrieve items in the garage and utilize the plane parked in the backyard, but your privacy will always be respected.

Guests may utilize two kayaks and a paddle boat during their stay—perfect for leisurely paddles across the lake. However, all watercraft use is at your own risk, and guests must be familiar with local boating regulations before heading out. Life jackets will be available at the property or can also be found at the public park or boat ramp just down the street.

We look forward to hosting you and hope you enjoy your stay!

Hi, I'm Brennan! I'm a lifelong Alaskan, born and raised right here in the beautiful Mat-Su Valley. I live in Wasilla with my wife and our sweet 8-year-old Lab mix, Ky. We’re excited to open our home to guests during the summer months. This is my first time hosting, and I’m looking forward to sharing this peaceful lakeside retreat with others who want to experience Alaska.

I’m passionate about the outdoors and love flying, motorcycling, tennis, hiking, camping, backpacking, and fishing. Whether you’re relaxing on the dock, paddling on the lake, or exploring the nearby trails, we’ve created a cozy, welcoming space for you to enjoy. We are always happy to share local tips to help you make the most of your stay.

Why they chose this property

I chose this neighborhood because it offers the perfect blend of peaceful lakefront living and convenient access to everything Wasilla has to offer. Being right on Lake Lucille means we get to enjoy stunning sunsets, calm mornings on the water, and even floatplanes taking off in the distance. It’s a friendly, quiet area where you can unwind, watch wildlife, or go for a paddle—all while being just minutes from local restaurants, shops, and trailheads. I love the sense of calm here and the way nature feels so close, yet the town is never far when you need it. It's the best of both worlds!

What makes this property unique

The home is cozy, welcoming, and perfectly situated for summer relaxation, with direct lake access for fishing, kayaking, or just soaking up the peaceful views. It’s a place where you can truly disconnect, recharge, and enjoy the magic of Alaska, right from the back patio.
