Had a wonderful stay at this beautiful mountain home. Wanted to check in early to get to family reunion and the host was able to accommodate us. Will definately book again to visit family.
We stayed here for a SxS riding trip to Sundquist Trails and overall had a great stay. The view from the property was beautiful, and the cabin had most everything needed for a comfortable trip. One of the biggest pros was the location — Sundquist Trails were only about a mile down the road at the bottom of the mountain, making trail access very convenient. The fire pit area was great for relaxing in the evenings, and there were plenty of beds and space for our group.A couple things future guests should know before booking: the road up the mountain is very steep and curvy, so make sure your truck has enough power if you’re towing. The driveway is also a steep concrete incline. We were able to get a truck and 22-foot trailer in and maneuver it around, but the trailer did scrape the bottom slightly. It’s doable — just go slow and be careful. For riders, the trails to Tagger are accessed along Davis Road at the bottom of the mountain. The trail shown at the top of the mountain is a walking trail only and not for SxS access. We also had someone in our group with mobility issues. There is no stair-free entrance to the main house area with the showers, though the front porch steps were the easiest to use. One bathroom did have a walk-in shower, which helped. Also, don’t leave food in your SxS or outside overnight, and keep trash cans tightly closed — we had a raccoon visitor one night.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it, especially for trail riders.
Positive: -The view is breathtaking from the balcony, you're so far up in the mountain that you can view the whole valley. The pictures don't lie, it is that pretty. -You are somewhat in your own little gated community so it's extremely quiet and peaceful.-House had everything you needed for a great stay, spacious rooms, comfy beds and couches. -Bonfire was awesome to have after long days of riding ATVs-Close to Royal Blue TrailsNegatives: -The entirety of the house itself was clean but there were a lot of dead bugs everywhere, I get it you're in the mountain/forest and bugs will get in but when you pay that much for a house...-Grill was extremely dirty and wouldn't keep temperature, on low setting it would still reach 500F, made it difficult to grill-Smoker was not only extremely dirty as well but wouldn't work as the igniter was malfunctioning -Not mentioned in description but property is extremely high up on a mountain ridge and the road that takes you up is very windy/sharp and steep. If you come for ATVing you need to make sure you have a trailer with high clearance or you will either scrap/bottom it the whole way up or you will simply not make it up.-You are nowhere near Tacket Creek entrance unless you wanna drive 30 minutes on your ATV. There is access to the trail at the end of the road but it was blocked with downed trees and manmade holes.Sara was very nice and responsive through. But with all that stuff I just can't see myself leaving a 5/5 review
the cabin was an awesome find. Plenty of room and everything you need to cook and sit back on the balcony to enjoy the viewswe will be back to stay again!
