About the host

I am an absentee landlord and built this house in 2000 for privacy and safety as I have lovely neighbors and am located well away from the main drag. I moved to Seattle a few years later but go back every couple of years to visit. I have a reliable local woman who manages the house and a regular man , her uncle, for maintainance and upkeep. They also rent cars and have a taxi service .
Why they chose this property
The location is off the road and quiet . You can hear the sea crashing into Hope Bay which is located on the Eastrn coast. It is not safe to swim there as there is an undertow . There is also no road to get there. There are other beaches located around the island and some have restaurants. I recommend De Reef at Lower Bay for safety and convenience.
What makes this property unique
I have a family of land Tortoises that live under the house and have done for many years. They love watermellon ring, papaya shells andd banana peals. I keep a heavy glass pie dish near the water tanks and keep it topped up for them. They are so funny when they blow bubbles as they drink.
