Hotel was great and the staff were amazing! Special thanks to Lalo, he was a real superstar made great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The roof top pool was nice, however the wait for drinks was sometimes very long. The room was super nice however the internet TV was hit and miss; no normal TV, only things like Netflix which didn't work all the time. There needs to be more furniture on the balcony, there's no proper out door table and only 2 chairs. The space is huge so the could make it a lot more useable. There is no handle on the door from the balcony to get inside and at times it's impossible to open it without getting someone inside to open it; put a handle on the door! The beach was a huge disappointment. There had been a hurricane a week earlier so the sand was conplelty gone and covered in stinky seaweed. Other hotels made a huge effort to clean up the beach outside their resorts, but the Carmen didn't. It would have been nice if they tried to clean a space each day that guests could use. The rooms were very pricey and not worth the cost given the poor beach, poor tv, and lack of priority for inhouse guests at the rooftop pool; especially during the pool parties.
