This handsome home is in pristine condition and is located in the heart of the Katama, South Beach area of Edgartown. Surrounded by a large landscaped yard and featuring a lovely spacious bluestone patio area, it is a short walk or bike ride to South Beach and the Edgartown Village area. Bike paths are located 150 yards away.

Features include: Sun filled Kitchen and Living Areas with hardwood floors, central AC for your comfort, 42" HDTV in the living room with Premium cable and high speed WiFi.

Three attractively furnished bedrooms include the large Master with King Bed, Bedroom 2 with a queen bed and bedroom 3 with a double and single bed.

This home is perfect for small families, or two couples with three children. The large landscaped yard surrounding the house provides room for children to play, and the new cedar outdoor shower is fantastic!. The blue stone patio is surrounded by beautiful gardens and the patio set with umbrella is perfect for outdoor dining. A gas grill is available for grilling. The Katama General Store is under a mile from the house and provides provisions for the beach as well as take out food. The Village area is where you will find, many gourmet restaurants, boutique shopping, fine art galleries, coffee shops, full size grocers, fish markets, movie theater and last but not least the stately Historic Whaling Homes that line many of the in-town streets.

Fabulous Location and Lovely Owner

Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at this Katama property. The location, an easy bike from beach or town, is perfect for a family on the go and Chris was incredibly helpful both before and during our stay. The house was clean and comfortable and well-equipped. I would absolutely recommend this property to others!

Katama Gem! LOCATION MAKES THE VACATION!

Location makes the vacation! And this is one of the best locations Katama has to offer. Minutes from the Katama Kitchen restaurant (yum!) at the airfield, just a short bit to beloved South Beach and Katama General Store and all while the perfect distance to downtown Edgartown - very close but not too close! GREAT FOR FAMILIES!!! I could stop here, as again location makes the vacation. Park the car and walk/bike every day. But I’ll also add..:the house is very clean. Ample space. With a large backyard perfect for kiddos. The house is well-stocked with all you’ll need, including plush towels, fantastic mattresses and (I can’t believe I’m mentioning this but it’s true) impressive water pressure - both inside and the glorious outdoor shower! Owner Chris is great! This was our fourth summer on the island, and we’ve finally found our favorite spot! Have I mentioned location??? We look forward to returning to this special house in our favorite part of the island next summer!

Great location, beautiful property.

This property exceeded our expectations. The location is a quick walk to the bike path and an easy bike ride to town and to South Beach. The home was clean and had everything we needed for our 2-week stay including paper goods, towels, beach towels, extra linens. The mattresses were very comfortable which has not always been the case with rentals. It was evident from the minute we walked in that the home is well cared for. One of the best parts was the beautiful landscaping and the large backyard which we spent many post-beach afternoons playing wiffleball, yard games, and just enjoying the outdoors and birds. The owner was very accessible and responded quickly in answering any questions we had. Overall a great vacation!!

This lovely home was in the perfect location, close to the beach, Edgartown and the bike trail. The backyard patio and gardens provided the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the many visitors (birds, bunnies) that visited throughout the day! It had all the amenities you'd desire in a rental, and the owner was helpful and accessible throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here when we return to the Vineyard again!

Pristine and cheerful home in a perfect location

My husband, two children, and I had a wonderful stay at this property. It was a pleasure to be in a house that felt like “home” and not like a rental. The house is immaculate and cheerful and had everything we needed. We especially loved the home’s lovely and serene backyard and gardens. What a perfect place to sit and have morning coffee! We also enjoyed a number of dinners on the back patio, and used the grill to cook fish and steak and vegetables from some of our favorite markets in the area. We have spent many summers on the Vineyard, and, to us, the location of this home could not have been better for all we wanted to do during our stay. It is a quick drive or easy bike ride from this house to South Beach or to the town of Edgartown, and our teenage children loved the freedom that this allowed them. All four of us took several wonderful bike rides during our stay, and we enjoyed the fact that the property has such easy access to bike paths. The owner of the house was very helpful and easy to work with. He always responded to us quickly and answered every question. We had a terrific vacation, and we would most certainly return to this house whenever we are next on the Vineyard!

Lovely experience renting here.

Enjoyed our stay at this lovely home and it is in a great location. It has a beautiful large back yard with a new outdoor shower. Everything was very clean and well maintained and the kitchen was well stocked with all you need for cooking. The best part was the landlord ..... great to work with. It was so nice to rent from someone who cares about keeping their home well maintained and wants his renters to have a good experience there. I hope to be back there next year.

Why they chose this property

This home has been in our family since 1979 and has been continually updated over the years. We have always taken a great deal of pride in keeping our house and property impeccably maintained. One of the nicest comments I received this past summer from a guest was "We just love your place, we really feel like we're home" In early 2018 we repainted the entire interior, refinished all the bedroom wood floors, added beautiful white wainscoting to the master bedroom and bathroom, and added new mattresses bedding, window treatments and cellular shades to all bedrooms. The home is clean, fresh and updated!

What makes this property unique

The location is fantastic, with both the beach and town just a mile away. The bike path on Katama road is three doors down, however there is a very quiet and secluded feel to the property. We provide many of the things you might not expect; all of our own spices for cooking, every kitchen appliance and equipment you could imagine, laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, paper towels, tissues, toilet paper, and other assorted sundries. Towels and sheets are also included. Just do your food shopping and settle in.
We want to make your stay as turnkey and hassle-free as possible.
