This coastal home has a panoramic view of an ecological preserve lagoon and the Pacific Ocean. Unique, modern and elegant. It won't disappoint.

The home is directly fronting beautiful serene ecological Lagoon Preserve with over 200 different types of bird species visiting throughout the year.

Just 1.5 miles to Southern California's seven miles of beautiful Carlsbad beaches

This ultra-modern home is brand new from the ground up with construction completed in 2016. It sleeps a total of 4 persons: Master bedroom sleeps 2 on new queen mattress, and alternate bedroom can either sleep 2 twin beds or put together to make one king size bed. (Please let us know ahead of time if need 2 twins or 1 king) Bedrooms each have separate (en suite) bathrooms

There is an outdoor deck with chairs and a table to enjoy your favorite beverage and relax with a beautiful view of the lagoon, ocean and California sunsets. The natural preserve lagoon and Pacific ocean really can't be beat. Most days have gentle ocean San Diego breeze.

The home is located in the Carlsbad Village and is a 1.3 mile walk to the beach. The village offers many unique family-owned restaurants, bars, wine tasting and shopping. Commuter trains (Amtrak and the Coaster) are accessible from the Carlsbad Village station to take you to Downtown San Diego or North up the California coast, Legoland is 5 miles away. Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Mission Bay, Old Town and much more is approx. 25-30 miles.

Beautifully decorated and extremely clean inside and out. This is true luxury living. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, silverware, knives, pots and pans; there's also a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, blender, toaster, Keurig coffee maker (with free pods), electric stove top and oven. Nearly all that you need to cook the manner you prefer while on vacation in this beach community.

Also, for your convenience there is a washer/dryer, linens and towels, iron/steamer; hair dryer and toiletries.

Note 1: The lagoon is a natural ecological preserve so you will occasionally have small insects depending on season and climate.

Note 2: We cannot offer early check-in or late check out as the property is usually fully booked and requires 4 hours cleaning and disinfection in between guests. Arrangements to drop-off luggage early can be made.

Note 3: Pets are not allowed including Support animals. Owner has severe allergy to pet hair (dander) and has been hospitalized due to allergic reactions.

Great views!

It was a lovely property in a quiet neighborhood. Our family spent most of the time upstairs hanging out, it was more comfy and the breeze was wonderful.

Great house in perfect location

We came with another couple and we’re here for five nights. The location was great. We could easily walk into the heart of Carlsbad in just a few minutes. The patio has an amazing view of the lagoon, and the ocean just beyond. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. Other than a little hiccup at the beginning, it was perfect. The owner was quick to respond and definitely made it right for us. We highly recommend this condo.

Beautiful location and city

We really enjoyed the patio and balconies that overlooked the preserve. The street is busy but you don't notice it on the back of the property. Neighbors are all really quiet. It's definitely a cozy place that works for a vacation home. Cooking is tricky without counter space or an island but we mostly just grilled or ate out. You can walk or bike anywhere in Carlsbad which was really nice. It's also nice to have the full size washer and dryer instead of the really small ones.

My stay at Dave's property was absolutely perfect. I took my family to Carlsbad for my fathers birthday, and this house was perfect for us. It was beautifully decorated, fully equipped, and just breathtaking. The breeze from the ocean/laguna is amazing during the day & night. We brought the family dog, which gave us a chance to walk around the surrounding area: You can easily walk to Carlsbad beach and enjoy the quaint neighborhood & shops along the way, or drive the 1.5-2 miles and find parking. Restaurants and grocery stores are perfectly located. However--dogs are not very welcome on the beaches in Carlsbad--which I didn't know. However, a 15 minute drive to a dog friendly beach wasn't an issue either! One of The beh was the washer and dryer on sight to do laundry from the weekend and outings to the beach! Dave is such a kind man, and his hospitality is out of this world. Thank you so much, Dave! I will be back!

Great Location

Fabulous spot. Close to Carlsbad Village- so many great restaurants. Baba was our go-to for coffee and of course dessert before dinner at Handells. The Wednesday farmers market was wonderful- grabbed some food and walked over to Pure for a beer to go with. Place matched the photos. Location can’t be beat.

Beautiful place with a relaxing view

The home had a beautiful view of the lagoon and ocean. Very well maintained and clean upon arrival. Close to Carlsbad Village and less than 10 minutes to Legoland. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting Carlsbad!

Cool place on the Lagoon

Enjoyed our stay. Easy walk to town. Clean with a beach vibe. Appreciate that they advised us ahead of time that the kitchen was small and the ice maker slow (didn’t work) but plenty of room for a bag of ice. Bring dish towels as none were provided. An umbrella on the back patio would make this home perfect. We would definitely stay again.

Exactly what we needed!

Exactly what we needed! Perfect size for two couples but not much more room for other family and friends to visit. But this worked out for this trip. The unit is well-maintained and very clean and what a wonderful view. The Management group provided us with everything we needed And was just as advertised We would love to stay there again.

Check-in process very easy. Place was immaculate. View was beautiful. Communication with property manager excellent. Three bathrooms (one downstairs and two upstairs next to each bedrrom) was ideal. Any issue was attended to quickly. One negative was heating--with heating vents in ceilings, upstaris bedrooms heated quite well but downstairs was quite chilly at times--we had to wear layers of clothes to stay warm

Beautiful home with a great view!

We enjoyed our stay in this beautifully decorated modern home. The view of the lagoon and the ocean beyond are breathtaking. The home was very clean and well supplied with necessities. We appreciated that lots of beach gear was also supplied. The home was quite comfortable for my husband and I as well as our daughter and son-in-law. Access to Interstate 5 was easy. We also appreciated the proximity to the Carlsbad Village area and beaches. We would highly recommend this home to others and hope to be able to stay there again in the future!

Just Perfect!

We spent 4 nights at this property and it was amazing! The pics accurately represent the house and there was plenty of room to stretch out and give you the feeling of being home. The property was spotless and the home was stocked with everything you could possibly need - whether in the kitchen, the bathrooms or living areas. Since one of our day trips was to Legoland, the location could not have been more convenient (about a 10 minute drive). The drive to the San Diego Zoo was a bit longer (40 minutes), but some freeway construction made the ride home a bit longer (1 hr). The Village is welcoming, easily walkable from the house and there were many good restaurants that we enjoyed. The beach was clean and not overly crowded. All in all, this was a wonderful home to enjoy and relax in for my husband, grandson and I. Highly recommended and if we return to Carlsbad, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

The condo is right on the lagoon! Beautiful scenery to look out or sit on patio. Linens were the best quality, place was spotless... loved the access to extra towels, Kerig coffee pods, beach chairs etc... Highly recommend... will rent again!

We had a great time. Location is so close to downtown Carlsbad and the beach. View is beautiful and very tranquil. We had 5 adults, which was great with the beds. Living space and kitchen is a little tight for that many, but we did ok. Freeway is close and the street is busy with traffic, but inside it's not heard. It's a lovely place!

WONDERFUL VACATION HOME!

We enjoyed a very relaxing week at this Carlsbad home. Dave, the owner, was very helpful and communicative. It was so nice to look out the living area and bedroom to see the lagoon and ocean view. The place was clean and well equipped. Quiet too! Even with the freeway conveniently close by, we really didn't hear it. It was nice to have two master bedrooms upstairs. Our adult son lives near by and it was a treat to have him stay with us a few nights. We brought our Corgi mix dog...thanks Dave! She was able to go out on the front patio for potty time. Easy clean up and convenient. We hope to visit again next year!

Complete Enjoyment

The location of the house is perfect for birders--right on the lagoon. The house had everything we needed to make our stay easy and enjoyable--kitchen, bath, laundry, outdoor deck. The owners are very generous in the supplies they furnish--coffee pods, tea bags, linens, laundry detergent. It made our stay very easy. The house seems very new and extremely clean and tidy. It was a joy to stay here.
