Buffalo Ridge on Zion Boundary very close to the Park! Gated Community -Hot Tub

Along with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, this scenic mountain home is situated on a very private 1.5 acre lot. You will have an unobstructed view of sunrise through 2 story tall picture windows in the main room. Step outside onto the oversized deck and listen to the silence. From your deck, you will often see deer and other wild life passing within a few feet of the house. Take in the scents of sage carried by the breezes of this southern Utah high desert location. When the sun goes down, gather in the hot tub for a view of the night sky few have ever seen.

Please note, I have a NO PETS policy. This is to insure the cleanest possible preparation for your stay. I actually pay more for the cleaning and preparation than I charge you!

Enjoy the upscale furnishings in a western motif that includes genuine log beds in every room, native american indian artifacts, high-end leather furniture, animal hides on the floor, and artwork supporting the theme name of the house, 'Buffalo Ridge'.

Preparing meals will be a family affair with your fully equipped kitchen featuring high-end stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and 'great room' arrangement. Entertainment will be provided by a 65'" Smart TV.

A vacation at Buffalo Ridge is an experience you and your family will not soon forget. It is a vacation where you will truly be able to 'get away from it all'.

Perfect family location

The house was perfect for our family and a great location for our visit to Zion. My grandchildren loved the amenities at the nearby Zion Ponderosa Resort as well.

Perfect location for exploring!

Stayed here for about a week with four friends to check out Bryce, Zion, and Grand-Staircase Escalante. The location made everything very easy, and the house made a great home base.

Beautiful Zion getaway

The cabin was beautiful and spacious, very comfortable, clean, well stocked and enjoyed the hot tub. We enjoyed the luxuries of Home while also feeling connected to nature. Our hosts were very responsive, kind and accommodating. Grateful to have found this gem.

The Best

Everything about this property is perfect. The description and pictures are 100% accurate. The cleanest house we have ever stayed in. The house is conveniently located near the East entrance, away from the hustle and bustle. We had no issues traveling to Springdale, Hurricane, Bryce Canyon, and Page(Arizona). The communication with John is second to none! Highly recommend staying here!

Fun in Zion

My family and I came to the area to visit Zion National Park. This rental was perfect. Very comfortable, clean and owner was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

House was beautiful, very clean and located in a quiet area. We could see Mule deer, jack rabbits and wild turkeys from our porch. Star gazing was spectacular.

Best trip!

My family of 4 and I had one of our best trips ever in this home. The home itself is beautiful and comfortable, and great proximity to Zion and Kanab. We stayed for a week and happily would have stayed longer. The view of the stars at the house and it’s surrounding area were spectacular. John was a responsive and great host.

Awesome Stay!

Our family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. There was plenty of room for all of us. It was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings. The home is located in a quiet community, super close to Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort and the east entrance to Zion National Park. The owner was very responsive from the moment we booked our reservation to our check-out. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful home.

A great house near zion

We loved driving though the park each day to explore Zion, but it’s about 30-40 mins so you have to plan for that. We thought we would want to go back to town for dinner but we didn’t end up doing that. The house is clean and has everything you could need. The owner was helpful and super responsive.

Cannot say enough good things about John. He went above and beyond! For example, he made sure to let us know that the rules for Zion National Park had changed and that we would need shuttle tickets! Excellent Zion Retreat!

Our recent stay at this Zion Ridge property was truly unforgettable. The clean, well-maintained house provided a cozy sanctuary amidst nature's grandeur, with every amenity thoughtfully provided for a comfortable stay. The check-in process was a breeze, thanks to the efficient and friendly host who ensured a seamless experience from start to finish. His warm hospitality made us feel instantly at home, and his local tips and recommendations enhanced our exploration of the surrounding area. We spent our days soaking in the breathtaking mountain scenery from the deck and exploring the nearby trails, while evenings were spent cozied up by the fireplace or relaxing in the hot tub. Pretty area close to two great parks!

The owner of the property is very good at communicating from the beginning. We wanted something outside the park and situated between Zion and Bryce, and while this is closer to Zion, it was a very easy drive to Bryce. We enjoyed the neighborhood for evening walks and also explored ATV trails on our Mountain Bikes and had great views of Zion from some of these trails. At first there is a bit of a smell with the water, it must be a well, but it was gone by the end of the first day.

We had a wonderful time. The property is amazing. The description doesn’t do it justice. There is endless amount of fun to be had. Our only complaint…. The can opener wasn’t sharp. Lol. I would stay there a million times and highly recommend it to anyone going to Zion.

The house was amazing! Everything was just as described. John was super communicative and went the extra mile to make our stay great! The location was perfect for us. We enjoyed being on the east side of Zion and away from the crowds and lines into the park from Springdale. It was also a great location to get to Bryce Canyon and Kanab easily. We loved relaxing in the hot tub every evening! The activities for the kids at Zion Ponderosa were great too! The kids (9-17) spent a lot of time there at the pool, playing basketball/sand volleyball/ping pong/mini golf. There were even more things there that we didn't have time to check out. We'd definitely stay at this property again if we're in the area.

Zion Oasis

The best property we’ve stayed at yet! The house was immaculate and even had Pantene shampoo/conditioner in the bathrooms. The kitchen was stocked with more than just basic necessities- sandwich bags, spices, grilling tools… beds were very comfortable, as well. A manual with laminated pages was available to look at for all kinds of things to do in the area. John suggested we do a RZR tour of the Coral Sand Dunes and we’re so glad we listened. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. The house was close to Zion, about 20 min, which was great because it was a zoo in Springdale. I’m so glad we didn’t stay there. This house is nestled in the woods in the mountains away from the hustle and bustle or tourists. We even had a deer come visit us while we were in the whirlpool. Ohhhh we loved that whirlpool. Especially after busy days in Zion, Bryce, and Kanab (it’s about 1.5 hours away from Bryce). One morning we had to stop for a herd of bison to cross the road to get on SR 9. It was perfect and we hated to leave. If we come back to Zion we most definitely will be staying here again.

Amazing home away from the hustle of Zion

This house was perfect for our trip to Zion National Park! The house is very clean, had everything you could need in the kitchen, spacious bedrooms with extra pillows, and even games and puzzles for the kids. The hot tub was amazing after a long day of hiking. This property is located on the East side of Zion, which gets you away from the crowds of tourists and provides a more secluded experience. The trade-off of this is greater travel time through the park to the visitors center and distance from restaurants and convenience stores, so make sure you hit the grocery store on your way in (as John’s welcome letter tells you to), otherwise you will be traveling 45 minutes to a grocery store in Kanab. Our mistake! We loved the quiet nature and being away from the crowds after spending our days in the park but it does take a bit of time to get down to the visitors center (about 45 minutes) in the mornings for the shuttle so plan well for earlier mornings to beat the crowds. We loved getting to drive through the empty park and tunnels every morning with the sunrises and got some great pictures we intend to print out and put up in our home. Finally, I would like to say that John is an incredibly host. He responds quickly to messages before and during your stay and really has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable!

Great, Quiet Location!

This property is located away from the busy entrance of the park. It is on the East edge and while the drive to the Visitor Center takes about 30 minutes, the views never got old. We enjoyed spending the entire day in the park and then returning to a secluded quiet home. Amazing dark sky, privacy, and lots of wildlife! Frequent deer sightings in the back. The unit really has everything you need, just bring your bags, some groceries, and settle in.

Perfect family home for exploring the parks

Beautiful home in a beautiful setting. I have to say this was the best equipped house I ever rented- they had everything you’d want in the kitchen and big sized laundry with detergent. Since stores are a good drive away it is super thoughtful. The hot tub was so appreciated after a long hike and to see the stars

Unbelievable Utah!

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at this home near Zion NP! Bryce Canyon NP was a short drive away for easy day-trips, and be sure to check out the outdoor adventures at nearby Kanab, as well as history in St. George. We even saw a Broadway show while we were there at the Tuacahn outdoor venue. The house is just as presented in the online photos. There was ample room for our needs, both in the kitchen & the guest rooms. Decor was understated & gave a flavor of the region. I can't stand too much fussy "folderol," and this place was delightfully comfy & decluttered to create a serene vibe. Enough room to spread out (we only needed 2 of the bedrooms), and each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom (one bedroom's bathroom is a Jack-&-Jill one that opens to the hallway so users needn't traipse through that bedroom to use the facilities. My son liked the dishes so much that he ordered his own set for his apartment! Would definitely stay at this memory-maker again!

Why they chose this property

At Buffalo Ridge, you can truly get away from it all. The peace and beauty of this location is without equal. From the house, you can walk into Zion. The Grand Canyon is a 2.5 hour drive, Bryce a 75 minute drive, many other, off the track, State Parks are also close.
Springdale has become VERY crowded as the popularity of Zion has increased. During the busy months, April thru October, the parking lot at the West/Springdale entrance becomes full. People are directed to park in town!!
The advantages of being on the East side are:
1. Avoiding the crowds in Springdale
2. Having easy access to drive to Springdale for dinner; a wonderful 30 minutes drive
through the park!
3. Having easy access to Kanab, another beautiful drive of 35 minutes in the opposite direction. Kanab has the best restaurant in the area.
4. Easy access to Bryce. It is only a 75 minute drive from the house.
5. Easy access to the off-trail hiking of the East/high desert side of the park where you can hike down any of the numerous washes. You can explore areas where few others go!!
