False Advertising & No Support From Management
-I visited a different unit this building 3 years ago, so the poor treatment I experienced this time has a factual reference.
-An important new rule that the garage ramp cannot be used as a pedestrian entrance or exit was sent to me by text, last minute. Upon landing, after taking my phone off airplane mode many messages loaded on my phone all at once and I never saw this message until my last day there. Considering there is a $100+ fine for this, I think I could have been more effectively alerted, rather than having a highly unprofessional security guard shout at me in Spanish as I, a 60 year old woman, rolled my luggage up the only ramp access available.
-The tennis court was padlocked. I went to the security desk to book a time & have the court unlocked. I was told by the security guard (the same one who would shout me down on my last day, as I rolled my luggage out of the building) that because I was a guest I could not use the tennis court or the paddle ball court. The unit is advertised offering access to both & has pictures of these courts. I didn’t fly 2,545 km to have ugly confrontations & so I did not tell the security guard that knew she was telling a lie because I had stayed in the same building as a Stayz guest before. I decided to wait & communicate with the Stayz concierge/property manager, Juan. I said would go swimming instead. I indicated my swimsuit under my tennis dress by showing my shoulder strap. So there was no misunderstanding. The guard told me I was not permitted in the pool. A lie. I have posted video of myself & a family friend in the same pool 3 years ago. & I went to my 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom suit & I messaged Juan who said it must be a mistake & I didn’t schedule a time, so I should book a time. It was not about scheduling. I asked Juan to take care of it. I did not want to be humiliated by that guard’s obvious prejudice, and willingness to lie to me.
-Juan indicated that he had followed up & against my wishes, he convinced me to return to the security desk to book the tennis court. I was told again that I could not book the courts because I was a Stayz guest, & only residents can use these facilities. They said I can use the pool this time, but no jacuzzi. I made a video of the guard saying this & I asked the guard to write it down so I have their note. I was so humiliated I would not go to the pool. I bought new tennis equipment for this trip! Juan’s manager, Ricardo B has not returned my call since Dec 12
