Our newly renovated Starfish Cottage is a hidden gem tucked away in a quiet beach community in Charlestown, RI. It's the ideal getaway as there are plenty of activities in the area such as kayaking, biking, fishing, hiking, or just beaching it. At night, enjoy the sunset while grilling alongside a fire on the patio & eating s'mores!
Looking for a peaceful beach retreat, romantic weekend or simply a quiet remote work stay - our South Kingstown property is perfect for this! Our newly renovated cottage has 3 bedrooms & 2 full bathrooms to comfortably sleep and accommodate 8 individuals. We provide full bedding as well as bath towels for your usage. In addition, seasonal beach towels will be provided!
The first floor is an open concept dining room, kitchen, and living room, and includes a bedroom with a queen bed & a full bathroom. The kitchen comes with all the cooking utensils you would need!
The second floor offers two bedrooms, one with a queen bed & one with a queen bed as well as a twin trundle bed & a full bathroom inclusive of a bathtub.
The basement provides you with a full laundry room as well as beach games, beach umbrellas, coolers and beach chairs for your usage.
The backyard oasis has a brand-new deck, fully equipped patio with grill, outdoor shower & fire pit. Please note, the patio furniture will be out & available seasonally between the months of May through October.
During in seasonal months of June through August, we will include a beach parking pass to park at the Shelter Cove Marina which provides you easy access to the Charlestown Town Beach. 2 miles to Greenhill or Charlestown beach; 15 minutes to URI, 30 minutes to Newport, 20 minutes to the Block Island Ferry & 35 minutes to the Foxwoods Casino.
In the offseason, enjoy close venues or activities such as:

- Walk Charlestown Town Beach
- Explore Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge
- Visit Frosty Drew Observatory
- Shop Umbrella Factory

Hi there! We are The Phillips, Rachel & Eric! We grew up in Connecticut, lived in Boston for a while, & are back living on the shoreline of Connecticut. In between all of that, we consistently vacationed annually at our cottage in Charlestown, RI.
However, in 2021, we made a family decision to list our Beach House on Airbnb and joined Vrbo in 2025. In addition we have enjoyed hosting guest so much we started our own co-hosting business under @phillipsrentalproperties to make sure we could give enjoyment to as many guest as possible!

Why they chose this property
I have vacationed in Charlestown RI for over 30 years and purchased our own property in 2012. We love the quiet beach community that has something to offer all season long!
