The Relaxation Nook was the perfect place to recoup after our long days hiking in Sequoia. The proximity to the park was perfect. Everything was very clean and comfortable!
The Relaxation Nook was a nice home base to explore Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. It is located just barely outside of the little town of Three Rivers. There was a small issue at check in but the host was responsive to messages and did everything she could to resolve the problem.
We had a nice stay- spent most of the trip in Sequoia national park. It was fine for our needs.

Room was clean and cozy, everything noted on this rental was available. Main house tenants can be a bit noisy. Also wanted to add other occupants renting other parts of the property kept using our "private entrace" which took away from it feeling "private" entirely. Overall property was clean and properly maintained and all amenities noted were included. With access to a grocery store and a gas station within minutes of the property was a plus.
3 Night Stay 3 Adults & 2 Kids (1 & 6)Cozy little place that worked well for our small family! The big backyard was great for the girls to run around. Parking is right in front and you walk down the side of the house to the back door. Easy access and two exits which felt safe in case of an emergency. The kitchen was simple but had what we needed: a big empty fridge, electric stove, water heater, 1 pot and 1 pan, utensils, a few dishes and coffee cups. There was also an air fryer (no foil though) and lots of outlets and charging ports. I brought my own water for cooking and drinking. Brought a mini Keurig because I can’t do instant coffee. The bedroom had plenty of space and the living room was a cozy spot to relax after long days out. Lots of TV channels and plenty of blankets. We slept with the windows open and it was nice and chilly since the fan only works when the light is on.A few small things: the twin bed is a bit squeaky, there are several steps (to the living room, bathroom, and backyard), and there wasn’t a can opener. I also couldn’t quite figure out the shower but was able to get hot water from the lower spout.Location was great, about 15 minutes to Sequoia with lots of little shops, pizza, and ice cream nearby. We loved seeing turkeys, cows, and horses along the drive.Overall, a great place to come back to after hiking and exploring!
Nice little rooms, clean and comfortable. Great area. Now the bad- No coffe maker, mini split ac not big enough, ceiling fan wired into light switch so no fan at lights out( so it’s hot) WiFi worked about 1/2 the time. People in main house were pretty loud.
The unit is in a beautiful location. Very easy to find and communication was great. It was peaceful and clean. The photos provided are very accurate. That being said we were the only ones on the property. This unit is attached to the main house which is very large. I am doubtful that the unit would be quiet if the main house was occupied. Another note if you examine the photos the bathroom and living room are 2 steps up which is not a huge problem but if anyone has mobility issues or frequently needs the restroom in the middle of the night it might be an issue. We appreciated the bottle of wine upon arrival and the kitchenette had everything we needed.

Thank you, Gwenn, for taking the time to provide such thoughtful feedback. We installed soundproof padding on both sides of the wall to help minimize noise and improve overall comfort for our guests. We truly appreciate your input and are always looking for ways to enhance the experience.
Comfortable Stay Near Sequoia with a Few Minor Drawbacks
This unit is in a great location, less than a 10-15 minute walk to Main Street, yet tucked away on a quiet street that feels peaceful and removed from the crowds. It was the perfect spot to enjoy both the outdoors and easy access to restaurants and shops. The unit itself was clean and well maintained. The layout is comfortable for a family of four. Communication with the property managers was excellent. They were responsive and helpful throughout our stay.A few things to keep in mind: noise from the main house does carry into the unit. We could clearly hear people talking and moving around, so it may not be ideal for light sleepers. Also, The ceiling fan is wired to the recessed light switch, so there are no separate controls, when the lights are off, the fan turns off too.Overall, it is a clean, convenient place in a great location, with just a few quirks to be aware of.
Super good price. All and all, nice place. Pretty location. Nice space. Biggest disappointments, no coffee maker and no TV in master bedroom. A pour-over coffee maker is 8 on Amazon. 100 cone filters are 2. Nearest coffee shop is a couple miles the opposite direction from the park. A TV on the wall at the foot of the bed in master would have been nice. Would have helped to cover some of the noise filtering through from the attached rental unit next door. Might need to remove a framed out section of the soundproofing to make room for the TV. Last complaint was that when we moved the couch back in the living room to make room to lay on the floor to watch TV, there were food wrappers, cookie and cracker pieces, and pet hair under the couch. The extra blankets in the TV area also had a dusty, chalky feel. One had tree leave crumbs attached to it. Someone used them in the back yard I guess (beautiful location) and I guess they never got laundered. Might need to have a talk with the cleaning contractors about an occasional deep cleaning. But, all and all clean place. Pretty space. Great location. Super price! Now, about the grocery store! VRBO owners have no control, but beware. Prices are outrageous! Come with supplies from home! Prices for food were 25 to 50 percent … lower … IN THE NATIONAL PARK! I feel sorry for the people who live in Three Rivers. But, I guess the store has a short season to make a profit for the full year. They did have a good selection.
Uns hat die Ferienwohnung sehr gut gefallen, die Kommunikation mit Christine war super und wir würden die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.
