Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please add all dirty towels into washing machine and start a wash cycle.
Strip bed linens and put sheets in the laundry bags in each of the bedrooms
Please make sure trash is in a tightly sealed trash bag and brought to the trash /recycle bins next to the shed. Place trash in appropriate bins and make sure the lids are closed.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Security/Safety: Lock all doors/windows when leaving the property. Emergency contacts are posted on the refrigerator.
Septic Care: It is important to flush toilet paper only - no wipes, feminine products, paper towels, etc. to avoid plumbing issues.
Report any accidental damage/maintenance issues immediately. Extra cleaning or damages beyond normal wear and tear may result in additional charges.

This is a beautiful property with no detail or amenity overlooked. I would recommend this location for anyone looking for a family vacation or a quiet getaway! Derek was an extremely gracious and accommodating host. We will absolutely be returning next time we are in the area.

Home away from home

Excellent new VRBO! Communication with the owner was perfect (responsive, thorough, polite) and the home itself was exactly as the photos showed. It's as if the house was just remodeled and everything was in pristine condition. The owners went above and beyond to leave a welcome gift, coffee, snacks, toiletries, towels, etc. We wanted to stay somewhere in the woods not too far from Portland, and it was just that (about 1.25 hr). Highly recommend this home for anyone visiting Maine!

We are a married couple with two daughters (and a Puggle!) from Massachusetts, and we love sharing our home with guests looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. We are passionate about creating a comfortable and welcoming space where guests can relax and recharge.

Derek leads a human resources function in a consulting firm in Boston as well as co-owning an event styling business with Ashley. When we are not working or hosting, we love making the most of the beautiful seasons Maine has to offer, whether it's skiing at Pleasant Mountain or relaxing at Highland Lake Beach.

We want your stay to be as enjoyable as possible. While we respect your privacy, we are always available to answer any questions or provide recommendations, so please feel free to reach out to us at anytime via text or email.

Why they chose this property

McTomney’s Bridgton Bungalow is a great location within the lakes region of Maine. You are close to Highland, Long, and Sebago lakes, as well as Moose Pond. The property is also 10 minutes from Pleasant Mountain and 30 minutes to Cranmore Mountain with close proximity to others as well. There’s so much to do no matter what season you visit; whether you want to enjoy shopping in Conway NH (outlets), tubing down the Saco river, skiing, hiking, apple picking, camping, or lake life!
