***VR24-00150***This charming cottage is the perfect place for your stay in downtown Sarasota.

The space:

This two bedroom home has all new designer furnishings and linens. The outdoor living space is as comfortable as the indoor, featuring a brand-new outdoor living room set, cantilever lighted umbrella, dining area with on umbrella, awesome private outdoor shower, Weber gas grill in more, all in an abundantly tropical private fenced setting amongst mature bamboo and oaks. This cozy 1000 square-foot home comfortably sleeps four people. The master bedroom has a brand-new queen size bed and the guest room has two twin beds. The kitchen features a gas stove, blender/smoothie maker, excellent set of pots and pans, dishwasher, a double sink, bistro dining set, Keurig coffee maker ( coffee will be available during your stay ). High-speed Internet and a 60 inch smart TV in the living room can access Netflix, Amazon, Pandora and More. There is also an office in the house, washer- dryer set as well. Solid wood doors with crystal doorknobs makes this house super special. There is ample parking for 4+ cars. Need storage for an RV or boat? We've got that too.

Guest access

Guess will have access to beach chairs and umbrella's, beach toys, floats, cooler, tennis rackets, and more. Siesta bike and kayak will deliver bikes to the door for you to rent.

Interactions with guest

If I’m not available to greet you, access to the house is on a access code and a backup lock-box.

The neighborhood

A Half a mile to downtown, it is a comfortable walk to the area attractions and Saturdays famous farmers market. Payne Park, a block away, is a kids paradise featuring two different playgrounds, a skate park, outdoor musical instruments, a running track, tennis courts, Rock-wall, a pond, café and more. St Armand's circle and Lido beach are just down the road three miles away.

Getting around

You were close enough that you can walk or bike to downtown. There is also a free electric shuttle service and SCAT- Sarasota County area transit, runs right up Shade Ave. If you choose to drive, parking in downtown is easy and free.

Perfect Location

We have stayed at this location twice and love how close it is to various beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, and recreational activities. The home has nice outside seating areas with very comfortable interior design. The host is quick to communicate and provides helpful information. We really enjoyed our stay.

Top notch city hideaway

Perfect spot, very clean and well organized, hosts are ultra-professional with attention to detail. Sweet leafy quiet garden and convenient location for downtown. Beach is a short drive. Highly recommend.

Nice place with lots of included amenities

House was at the convenient location, clean and spacious, large kitchen and living room, back yard with plenty of seating. Property was stocked with all the supplies needed, ex beach towels, bathroom, kitchen supplies, etc.. . It also had everything you need for a day at the beach, including chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, wagon, etc. Overall , great stay.

Wonderful Stay

House was very clean and well stocked with everything you need. It was a huge help to have items like laundry detergent, paper towels, coffee, etc. Extra blankets were available and helpful when it got colder. Easy drive to shops, restaurants, etc. Troy answered questions quickly and check in was easy. He is a very good host.

Perfect Place

This place had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. It was very clean and close to several beaches, stores, and eating places. They had chairs and umbrellas for the beach and because it was a full kitchen, we packed lunch and stayed at the beach all day. The outside shower was nice to rinse off and the outside patio was relaxing. The host was always quick to respond for check-in and check-out. We had no issues…much better than staying in a condo.

Girls weekend

A couple girlfriends and I came here for a much needed girls weekend and it was absolutely perfect! The house is incredibly clean, spacious, and has everything you could possibly need on your trip. All of the beach supplies were in great condition and made our travel and trip to the beach so much easier and more enjoyable! We loved spending time in the backyard relaxing and drinking wine. The location is a 10 minute drive to St. Armand’s and the beach and 5ish minutes to downtown. There were plenty of great restaurants close by. I would definitely stay here again!

Fun, old Florida experience

Loved the bungalow. Great location, only issue was with the grill(s). Advertised as Weber but it was a pellet smoker/grill with no instructions and both were not clean at all. Weber was there but not working well with empty gas container.Really like grilling out while on vacation otherwise it was delightful.

Adorable Bungalow

This house was absolutely perfect for our family. It is exactly as pictured and described. Everything is clean and well cared for. I have never stayed at such a well-equipped home- the beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, and even coolers really made our beach vacation perfect. This house does not skimp on things that other places often do- there was plenty of coffee, toilet paper, even a cabinet of extra supplies if you forgot toothpaste or sun screen. Really above and beyond. Excellent value for money. Thanks for a great stay!

Enjoyed our stay.

The property was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The house had plenty of space for the two of us and would be equally comfortable for four. Convenient to downtown, about 5 minutes by car. The street is residential but a main route through the neighborhood. The neighborhood is nice, dating to mid-century. Safe to walk through. It is a healthy walk to downtown. Most homes appear to be well kept. Some of the neighboring properties are being rehabbed, and some are in need of rehab. Overall, we highly recommend this house.

We loved Ringling Park!

We were in town for a short weekend event and wished we had more time to relax in the backyard. What a great house, perfect size for what we needed and the location was great. The owner was responsive and the house was very clean. Looking forward to staying here again !

Relaxation

We stayed at A Shady Place for 2 weeks, end of November. The place is as cute in person as seen online, well decorated. The kitchen was modern and both kitchen and bathroom well stocked. Comfortable patio in the back with good BBQ. Troy was easy to communicate with. A very relaxing time.

I love to ski, play tennis, golf and spend as much time as I can with my beautiful 10 year old twin girls. We love to travel and experience new areas and different cultures , but we always love going back to our 2nd home in Sarasota, FL. I fell in love with this area of FL years ago and ended up buying a home here.
