About this property

Cabin w/Hot Tub & Game Room | Arcade | Mtn Views

Picture this: twelve of your favorite people, spread across two Smoky Mountain homes, and everyone's found their spot. Someone's soaking in the hot tub under a canopy of trees. Someone's racking up wins on 400+ arcade games in the guest house. Someone just found the hammock. The fire pit's crackling, the screened porch is open to the breeze, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is minutes away tomorrow. Welcome to Woodland Respite.

ABOUT THIS SPACE Woodland Respite is two homes on one quiet, wooded property — a main house and a separate guest house — connected by stone paths, towering oaks, and long mountain views. A big group can spread out here instead of tripping over each other, while still gathering easily for meals, games, or sunset on the porch.

THE MAIN HOUSE sleeps the core of your crew across three bedrooms: a primary suite with aking bed and a spa-style wet room — freestanding soaking tub and separate rain shower in one bright, tiled retreat — plus two queen bedrooms and two futons for extra flexibility. Two full bathrooms keep morning traffic moving. The living room's floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with light and frame the tree line, opening onto a dining area built for shared meals and game nights. The kitchen is fully equipped for real cooking — dishwasher, electric range, a drip coffee maker AND a Keurig, plus the dishes, cookware, and baking basics a big family meal requires. A washer and dryer mean nobody's rationing outfits by day three. Outside you've got front and back decks plus a screened porch looking straight out at the Smokies — coffee herein the morning, wine here at sunset. The private hot tub sits just steps from the primary bedroom, tucked under the trees where the only lights you'll see are stars.

THE GUEST HOUSE is where the energy lives — its own living room with an 85-inch smart TV, a 400+ game arcade console, air hockey, and board games for rainy afternoons. The bedroom is a showpiece — a king platform bed beneath a custom loft built by a master carpenter, with two extra-long twin mattresses tucked above for kids, teens, or anyone who wants to sleep somewhere more fun. A full bathroom keeps this wing independent, so two households can coexist without sharing a toothbrush cup.

OUTSIDE, the two homes share a wooded backyard: a stone path to a hammock between the trees, a fire pit for marshmallows and late conversations, and a private gas BBQ grill with an outdoor dining area. You'll also have access to the property's shared seasonal outdoor pool.

LOCATION & WHAT'S NEARBY Woodland Respite sits in a quiet, secluded pocket of woods in Wears Valley, East Tennessee —close enough for a quick trip into town, far enough that you'll hear crickets instead of traffic. The access road and driveway are easy and graded, free of steep switchbacks. You're roughly 15-20 minutes from the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, America's most-visited national park. Pigeon Forge's parkway — Dollywood, go-karts, mini golf, nightly lights — is about 10-15 minutes away. Downtown Gatlinburg, with Ripley's Aquarium, theSkyPark and SkyBridge, and Anakeesta, is about 20 minutes further. The Apple Barn Cider Mill is a quick 5-10 minute trip for fresh cider donuts, and Forbidden Caverns is about 10-15minutes away. The Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge is around 12 minutes, and Douglas Lake is15-20 minutes out for boating and fishing. Wherever you head, you're never far from the next thing to do — or from getting back to the hot tub.

WHO THIS HOME IS BEST FOR Multi-generational family reunions — grandparents get quiet mornings on the porch while the grandkids run the arcade in the guest house. Big groups of friends who want their own space — two living rooms and 8 beds mean nobody's negotiating who sleeps on the couch. Families with young kids — a crib, pack 'n play, high chair, kids' dinnerware, and board games are already here, in a wooded yard that's easy to watch from the deck. Groups chasing the Smokies without the crowds — national park access without staying inside Gatlinburg's tourist crush.Anyone who wants a hot tub AND a game room AND a mountain view, not one out of three.

GUEST ACCESS You'll have exclusive access to the entire property — main house and guest house — plus the private hot tub, fire pit, hammock, decks, and shared seasonal pool. Check-in is self-service with a smart lock, so there's no waiting on a host — punch in your code and you're in. A private entrance means you're not sharing hallways with anyone outside your group.

PARKING Free driveway parking is available for 3-4 vehicles right on the property. The access road is a smooth, easy drive with no steep grades or tight switchbacks — a relief if you've dealt with sketchy driveways at other Smokies rentals. There's no dedicated EV charger on site, so plan to top off in town if you're driving electric.

HOUSE RULES Check-in is 4:00 PM-12:00 AM, checkout by 10:00 AM. This home sleeps up to 12 guests maximum; please keep to that number for everyone's comfort and safety. Quiet hours after dark help keep the peace here. We run a Firm cancellation policy and offer instant booking. Can't wait to host you.
