The tiny home was so comfortable — the hosts were exceptional and really made their space feel like home. There were so many little details: laundry supplies, a stocked drink fridge, their extensive recommendations in the guidebook, and even a welcome gift with a personalized card!
Very clean, very cute, very comfortable. The hosts made sure every last detail was in order for a perfect stay. Excellent communication, as well.

Absolutely loved this private tiny home. Very quiet and private location. Super clean as it is brand new. I saw deer in the yard each night I stayed. Bed was comfy. Only 1 hr away from Bar Harbor and Acadia NP. Beautiful sunset spot 10 minutes away at caterpillar hill. I would definitely book again
This tiny home is the perfect getaway spot for anyone who wants to get away from the crowd. Simple accommodations with just the right homey touches. Lovely wooded property near Blue Hill.

So happy you found our Tiny Home to be the perfect little escape! We love sharing this quiet corner of the woods, and it's great to hear it hit the mark for you. Simple, cozy, and crowd-free—just how we like it. You are welcome to come back again!
I unfortunately got to the property after dark and mistook their house for the tiny home, but Dan came right out and showed me around despite it being dark out! Very sweet of them! I loved staying there and wish I booked the whole week, I will definitely be back!!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay and we were happy to help get you settled, It really is quite dark at night with no street lights. We’d love to welcome you back anytime, whether for a full week or just a quick getaway.
The tiny home was perfect! It was beautifully decorated and offered everything I needed. From the welcome card and gifts to the much-needed laundry facilities, it was my favorite stay in a two-week trip. This is actually the nicest short-term rental I've had the pleasure of visiting. I wish I'd had more time to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the home and the deer that were almost on my doorstep. I'll be back!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re so happy to hear the tiny home was your favorite stop along your trip — that means a lot. It was truly a pleasure hosting you, and we love that you got to enjoy a few visits from our local deer, too! We’d be thrilled to welcome you back anytime for a longer, slower stay to soak up more of the peaceful surroundings.
This efficient little space has everything a traveler needs in a quiet, beautiful setting. It's remote, but not far from Blue Hill and well within reach of Acadian National Park. It would make a great venue for an artist's retreat.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're glad you found the space efficient and peaceful—it's exactly what we hoped to create. We agree, it's a special spot for reflection and creativity, and we love the idea of it inspiring an artist’s retreat. Hope your travels bring you back this way again!
Thoughtful, comfortable, cozy space for two; owned and run by the on-site homeowners who seem to truly care about their guests' experience; it's a really great spot and we would definitely book again if/when in the area. We were traveling for our anniversary and our hosts left us a really nice card and some chocolates and it was such a nice gesture and so appreciated! Many thanks for everything!

I had a great stay at the Peaceful Getaway in Sedgwick. Listing was just as described. Very cute and clean tiny home with everything an individual or couple might need. Beautiful spot to relax, and close to Blue Hill and other wonderful areas. (I recommend a walk through the Harriman Point Preserve in nearby Brooklin.) Check-in process was great, and although the main house is nearby it felt very private. I highly recommend this spot.
This wonderful space had a wonderfully peaceful vibe! All of the amenities worked well and the space was very updated. We had absolutely zero issue with anything in the home or the games garage. We did speak with the host and he is an absolute wealth of knowledge on the area and is so willing to help in any way needed! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the peaceful vibe and that everything worked perfectly during your stay from the Tiny Home to the games garage. We’re especially glad you had a chance to chat with my husband, he really does love sharing all the local gems! We’d love to welcome you back anytime. Thanks again for the enthusiastic recommendation!
Excellent stay! We really enjoyed the Tiny Home for our visit to Acadia NP and Bar Harbor. The house had everything we could need. The owners put much thought into each detail. Check in and check out was super easy with the owners reaching out with the access code ahead of time. It was super nice they provided water bottles and soda for us to enjoy! The only thing I would add to the Tiny Home would be a full-length mirror. Even something small placed on the bathroom door would be super helpful. The Tiny Home is literally across the yard from the owners if you need anything. They stated in our welcome email if we needed anything to let them know as they lived on the property. The turn off for the house creeps up on you, so definitely go slow and pay attention to when you get close. The area does not have much cell reception. We found the best thing was to download an offline map on our iPhone Maps App of the Tiny Home and Acadia NP locations that way we can still use our phone maps without cell service. If you are unfamiliar with this, it is a SUPER convenient thing to have. There were a few restaurants in the area, however many of them seem to close early (any night of the week) or are not open on Sundays. Blaze Brewery was gracious enough to still make us a pizza even though their hours online said that they were closed. We were very thankful, as then we didn't have to drive 30 minutes to Ellsworth to get something to eat.

About the host
Hosted by Dan Boldt
Welcome to our Tiny Home Peaceful Getaway - our personal slice of peace that we’re so excited to share with you.
Back in 2022, we fell in love with this property as our second home—a quiet haven tucked away from the bustle, where the mornings are filled with birdsong and deer wandering through the property and the evenings fade into golden light. What began as a future retirement plan quickly became an irresistible call to live here now.
We wanted to soak in every serene sunrise and star-filled night, and we realized it was too special not to share. So we added a tiny home on the property, imagining weekends full of laughter and stories with our closest friends and family. Before long, it felt only natural to open our doors even wider - and that’s how this short-term rental was born.
Every detail here - the breakfast bar for eating, working or just enjoying the beauty you see while looking out the window, the shed with the outdoor bar for drinking your morning coffee or the game room inside the shed filled with games, books or other items to enhance your stay, the deck where you can enjoy all that nature provides - reflects what we love most about this place. Our hope is that as you stay here, you’ll feel the same calm that captivated us, and you’ll create your own stories: morning coffees on the deck, quiet hikes through the woods, starlit chats around the fire pit.
Thank you for choosing to be part of our journey. Make yourself at home, and we can’t wait to hear about the memories you make here.
Warmly, Dan and Tammy Your Hosts
Why they chose this property
We chose this area for the tranquility. It is far from the noise of city life. It is perfect for slowing down and recharging. Though it feels wonderfully remote, charming shops, local farmers’ markets, and scenic overlooks are just a short drive away.
Every element drew us in, and today it’s our greatest joy to share this sanctuary with you. We hope you find here the same sense of calm and wonder that captured our hearts.
What makes this property unique
Though the tiny home is on the same lot as the main house, it’s tucked into its own area of our 2.25 acre property.
Every inch of the tiny home is optimized for comfort—high ceilings, hidden storage, and large windows that frame the forest views.
