The Old Birch Cabin at Whispering Woods now available again for vacation rentals. Discover the beauty of Amber (formerly Squaw) Lake from this 3-bedroom beachfront cabin. The beach is sandy, in a protected bay, with gradual slope. Amber Lake is just 20 minutes west of Minocqua and is over 700 acres, a class A musky lake, with an abundance of other fish species. Nestled in a serene setting, this awesome property features 2 queen beds and 1 bunk bed. With WiFi, AC, shared fire pit, and a shower over bathtub, guests can unwind and relax in this peaceful retreat. You're sure to make fantastic memories with a stay at our place. The property has only five cabins, with two others available for rent for larger groups.

The main bedroom is lakeside with beautiful sunrise views. The middle bedroom features double over double bunk beds, perfect for the kids. The third bedroom features a queen bed and TV. Summer rentals are Saturday to Saturday. There is more flexibility in spring and fall.

Fantastic Vacation

Place was clean and tidy. All amenities needed where found with this cabin. Decor of the cabin was fantastic! Bedrooms where a bit small, but how much time do you really spend in the bedrooms . Beach and view was great from the patio window. Swimming off the beach was a bit mucky and as you got out further it took a while to get any deeper and then the bottom was full of sticks and muck. Not a great area for swimming but let me tell you the fishing was amazing!! My husband enjoyed himself every morning and every evening all week long; just him, his kayak, and his pole!I would definitely recommend this cabin if you love to boat, kayak, and fish!!

Peace and tranquility

The cabin was wonderfully up to date and very clean. We spent many hours sitting outside, looking at the lake and enjoying the peace and tranquillity. The lake was very quiet. Our granddaughter loved the sand beach.Thank you for sharing it with us we plan to return next year.

After camping and renting cabins in northern Wisconsin for years, we bought our own place at the end of 2020. Our cabin is the Birch Cabin at the former Whispering Woods Cottages resort. We now are offering vacationers the opportunity to use our cabin as well.
