This lovely, contemporary, pool home offers expansive views from an oversized tip lot (two intersecting canals) with 160 feet of concrete seawall, a Dock and only 1 bridge out to the Gulf of Mexico, the Myakka River and the Port Charlotte Harbor. Our Third Ray of Sun is located in the Waterfront Boating Community of SOUTH GULF COVE which offers parks, a boat ramp and marinas and is only minutes away from beautiful Southwest Florida Beaches in Boca Grande and Manasota Key . You will love this well cared for 3/2/2 pool home with it's many special features such as split floor plan, formal living and dining rooms, a kitchen with lot's of space, hardwood cabinets and Corian countertops, breakfast area and large pass through to the Lanai. The attached large Great room has a charming electric fireplace and big screened TV. The huge Lanai is at the heart of the home with big sliders leading from the Master, the formal dining, the great room and the third bedroom. The Lanai offers a large solor heated, very warm pool, breakfast bar, large area for dining and entertaining as well as views of the canal. You will feel like you are in a park in your large fenced in back yard that overlooks two intersecting canals. We had a wonderful time at this property. The house was very clean when we arrived. There is a well stocked kitchen, lots of towels, for the pool and bath, and many beach toys. The lanai is fantastic, a large table for eating outside and another large area with a coffee table that has ample seating. We spend most of out time out there. They have quite a few lounge chairs to sit around the heated pool and a wonderful view of the yard with a canal in the background. The house is very close to Engelwood Beach and Gasparilla Island, both beautiful places to spend the day. I would highly recommend this home. It will not disappoint!!!

Well equipped kitchen, clean home. Someone needs to check on one of the twin beds, it is not attached to the headboard and it tips over when you go to sit down on it. Also, there are quite a few lightbulbs that need to be changed. Would definitely stay here again!!

The pool was great, the house and lanai were wonderful with comfortable furniture. The house was clean and spacious. My only complaint was that the water has a smell which I have been told is a common problem in some parts of Florida. But we have rented three times because everything else about the house is super.

We are happy the house was perfect for you! The locals tell us that they use coconut oil to prevent no-see-um bites. The insects come out at dusk and stay until the sun gets intense. I stay in then! The pool cage gets fogged for them every couple weeks. If you do get bit, Ammonia helps with the itch. Each year of exposure to them seems to build up an immunity so reactions to them is less. Unfortunately they are all over Florida.

We are high school sweethearts who are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary this year. We have a wonderful daughter who we love to pieces and she now lives close by. Ernie has retired from social services and I plan to retire in a year or two. In Sarasota we have A Ray of Sunshine and in Port Charlotte we have Another Ray of Sunshine, so this one is the Third Ray of Sun. We enjoy creating vacation homes where families can enjoy their free time creating fun, happy memories.

Why they chose this property

This is one of our future retirement homes. It is exactly what we were looking for to spend some of our golden years. This house offers a great view of the tip of two intersecting canals. It has a large Jacuzzi tub in the master suite and a large screen TV in the family room. We are in a quiet zone much like a park and have 160 ft. of concrete seawall for a panoramic view of the water. We enjoy renting a boat for 4 hours to explore the beautiful waterways and wildlife in the area.

What makes this property unique

The view of the canals is spectacular from the backyard. The house has a great layout and offers amazing comfort and a happy, peaceful feeling. There is almost two masters on opposite sides of the house with both having sliding glass doors to the pool. The house is almost totally renovated with high quality furnishings, art and kitchen utensils. The backyard bordering the large canal is completely fenced in for the safety of children. The dock has bench seating and allows for great fishing and crabbing. There is even an electric fireplace with hearth and mantle that will create ambience and festivities with or without heat.
