This lovely, contemporary, pool home offers expansive views from an oversized tip lot (two intersecting canals) with 160 feet of concrete seawall, a Dock and only 1 bridge out to the Gulf of Mexico, the Myakka River and the Port Charlotte Harbor. Our Third Ray of Sun is located in the Waterfront Boating Community of SOUTH GULF COVE which offers parks, a boat ramp and marinas and is only minutes away from beautiful Southwest Florida Beaches in Boca Grande and Manasota Key . You will love this well cared for 3/2/2 pool home with it's many special features such as split floor plan, formal living and dining rooms, a kitchen with lot's of space, hardwood cabinets and Corian countertops, breakfast area and large pass through to the Lanai. The attached large Great room has a charming electric fireplace and big screened TV. The huge Lanai is at the heart of the home with big sliders leading from the Master, the formal dining, the great room and the third bedroom. The Lanai offers a large solor heated, very warm pool, breakfast bar, large area for dining and entertaining as well as views of the canal. You will feel like you are in a park in your large fenced in back yard that overlooks two intersecting canals. Perfect house, perfect location, ideal for relaxation. Markets are near, nice beach is also close. You can enjoy your time at the pool if you don't want to drive to the beach. Comunication with Linda is excellent!

Revisit Even Better Than The First

We enjoyed celebrating my husband’s birthday at this nice home. The listing accurately describes the property, we had no problems or issues. The weather was nice enough that we were able to enjoy the pool every day. We will likely book this location again if it’s available on our next trip to FL.

Great location

The House in the Sun is everything the ad said it would be. Check in was seem less, the property manager was very attentive and prompt, the beds comfy! The location was perfect and in the garage there were coolers and beach chairs. The pool was beautiful! The noseeums at night were relentless but they didn’t come out until later on. It was peaceful and quiet and felt very safe.

Relaxed November stay in South Gulf Cove

This is a comfortable, well-equipped property with a warm outdoor pool. Towels and bedding were generously supplied and various bicycles and beach items were available. Some of the fittings and equipment are dated, but generally function ok. The owners are very welcoming and were responsive to the feedback we provided on a couple of issues. It should be noted that we visited not long after Hurricanes Helene and Milton passed through and that the owners and the region as a whole were still in a clean-up/recovery phase.

Relaxing getaway

We so much enjoyed the house it was so roomie and relaxing. That we actually used the house more this year on the vacation. Loved the pool . We had everything we needed for the week. Everything was nice and clean. Would recommend this house to all my friends and family. The water in the back was nice did a little fishing. Didn't catch anything but had fun trying.thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful home.

Amazing!

Our stay was AMAZING. The house is very clean and comfy. Beds are GREAT. The pool on the channel is a huge added bonus. It was amazing waking up to the sunrise with coffee by the pool. Hubby and kids were able to catch some fish in the channel which was fun. Super close to Boca Grande where you can rent golf carts and explore. Very close to lots of little fun cities like Punta Gorda, Siesta Key & Englewood. We will DEFINITELY return. (Bonus: There is an on site washer and dryer which helped with laundry and towels, etc.) Communication with the owners was simple and easy. Loved how this area wasn't busy with typical "spring breakers". We wanted a relaxing, family friendly vacation and that is EXACTLY what we got.

Great two week stay

We stayed for two weeks at the Third Ray of Sun. This is our 3rd year staying in this neighborhood, we love SGC. The house is a little older but is in very good shape. The cage over the pool was lost in Hurricane Ian and has not been replaced yet, but we understand why and that was not an issue. We had great communication with the owner and with the property manager. We had a few times we need to reach out to the property manager and she was very quick to respond. We used the bikes that were provided almost everyday. We spent many days on the beach, there are many beaches close by. We enjoyed our stay so much we have already booked a stay again for 2 weeks next year.

Great house with pool not far from beach

This house was a nice home away from home. Not too far from the beach, restaurants or the grocery store. The only thing that I can complain about is that we were informed that the screen covering for the pool had been down since the hurricane. We got eaten alive by bugs. Not using the pool after dark was not an option for us. We had our kids with us and got a house with a pool just for them. They weren't going to not use the pool during that time. Not a dealbreaker but would of been nice to have the option of cancelling if we wanted to. All that said, this was a great little place for a family vacation.

This house has plenty of dishes, bikes, beach supplies including small cooler, chairs, etc.. Beds were comfortable. Very pleased with our stay and would stay here again.

Potential Paradise

Architecture of home amazing! We understand how hurricanes can take a toll on properties though home cleanliness has nothing to do with a hurricane. Daytime living areas clean and decorated nicely. Bathrooms dirty, felt as though some sheets not changed for our stay. Dust bunnies in bedrooms, and one bedroom smelled like dog. Arm of living room chair broken, should probably be repaired before a guest is injured. Owner promptly sent manager to attend to the leaking dishwasher. Owner promptly attended to a question we had with the pool that turned out to be no concern. When owner told about cleanliness of house a verbal apology was given though issues were not addressed while we were there. Enjoyed the use of fishing poles in the garage and the BBQ! Loved seeing nature and animals in the area!

We are high school sweethearts who are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary this year. We have a wonderful daughter who we love to pieces and she now lives close by. Ernie has retired from social services and I plan to retire in a year or two. In Sarasota we have A Ray of Sunshine and in Port Charlotte we have Another Ray of Sunshine, so this one is the Third Ray of Sun. We enjoy creating vacation homes where families can enjoy their free time creating fun, happy memories.

Why they chose this property

This is one of our future retirement homes. It is exactly what we were looking for to spend some of our golden years. This house offers a great view of the tip of two intersecting canals. It has a large Jacuzzi tub in the master suite and a large screen TV in the family room. We are in a quiet zone much like a park and have 160 ft. of concrete seawall for a panoramic view of the water. We enjoy renting a boat for 4 hours to explore the beautiful waterways and wildlife in the area.

What makes this property unique

The view of the canals is spectacular from the backyard. The house has a great layout and offers amazing comfort and a happy, peaceful feeling. There is almost two masters on opposite sides of the house with both having sliding glass doors to the pool. The house is almost totally renovated with high quality furnishings, art and kitchen utensils. The backyard bordering the large canal is completely fenced in for the safety of children. The dock has bench seating and allows for great fishing and crabbing. There is even an electric fireplace with hearth and mantle that will create ambience and festivities with or without heat.
