I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and that the kitchen had what you needed to make meals! Just say when, we'd be ecstatic to have you back any time!
We had a great stay overall. The home was exactly as described, and the location was perfect and accurately listed for the town. Everything was comfortable and met our expectations. The only issue was that the towels had a strong unpleasant smell, so we ended up buying our own. Aside from that, everything else was great. Would definitely stay again.

Thank you the review, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! I would have happpily had new towels brought to you if I was made aware of the issue. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I will certainly dig into this and make sure it doesn’t happen again.
What an incredible relaxing stay! Wanted to get away from the grind of the rat race and this is exactly what we needed! Close enough to civilization yet remote enough to let yourself enjoy some solitude. Beautiful, clean and comfortable! We felt right at home the moment we walked in to the cabin. More than enough room for a large family or multiple couples. Highly recommend!!!

I'm so glad you had a great time, please come back any time!
This cabin was an excellent base for visiting with our family members who were hiking the Appalachian Trail. It was located between Fontana Dam where we picked them up and Bryson City where we shopped and ate a lot! The cabin was clean and cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. It was so nice to be able to bring our dog and the driveway was very accessible and not too steep. Jackie was an excellent, responsive host. We would definitely return to this cabin!

Thank you for the kind remarks and happy anniversary! We're so glad you had a great time and were able to get out on your motorcycle. Come back any time, you were a joy to host.
My family of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids) had a wonderful stay here! It was close to everything we wanted to explore and had endless entertainment of games for us as we waited to ring in the new year. It fit us all very comfortably and our host, Jackie, was amazing at replying to our questions. The hot tub was also a favorite and was very clean. We would 100% come back!

Thank you for the kind review, I'm delighted you had a great stay ringing in the New Year! We'd love to have you back any time
Jackie is a wonderful host. She relied quickly when I asked questions. Our grandchildren loved the hot tub and there were plenty of places for them to hide when playing hide and seek. The greatest was the wood burning fireplace and being dog friendly. The cabin was close to downtown which was also a good point

I'm so glad you enjoyed the cabin and the great location! Thank you for the feed back on the bedding, we are looking into this right now. You were a pleasure to host, come back any time!
This cabin was perfect for our family of five and our dog! It was spotless, comfortable, and very well-stocked. We especially appreciated the cozy sofas and abundance of blankets—they were ideal for snuggly family movie nights and relaxing after long days. The location is fantastic for mountain activities: we enjoyed dog walks and the incredible convenience of horseback riding right across the street. Highly recommend for a comfortable and memorable family getaway.

I'm so happy to hear that you and your family had such a memorable stay at the cabin! The proximity to all those amazing mountain activities really does make it special, and it warms my heart that you found the cabin to be both comfortable and cozy for your getaway. It would be an absolute pleasure to host you again anytime—you and your family (and pup!) are always welcome!
Girls trip to the mountains for the weekend. Cute cabin, nice hot tub, fun fire pit. Not far from Bryson City and the train. One bedroom is downstairs and the only bathroom downstairs is in thru the bedroom. 2 bedrooms and a bathroom are upstairs. There are quite a few stairs to get up to the front door - in case you are going with elderly people or anyone with disabilities. Definitely recommend staying.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your weekend getaway! You were great guests and we'd be happy to welcome you back any time.
It had been raining all day when we got to the property. The forecast called for more rain during our stay. Fortunately, the weather cleared up, and the sun came out for our entire stay. We rented a pontoon from Almond Boat and on the following day, we went to the Fingerlake day use park. We enjoyed the lake and had a fantastic time. We also saw the most beautiful sunset down the hill, a short walk from the property. There’s so much to do within a short distance from the cabin that we never turned on the TV. We really appreciated the convenient location.

Thank you for the kind words! I'm so glad you enjoyed the proximity of the cabin to local activities and were able to enjoy them. You were a great guest and we'd happily welcome you back any time!
We set the bar high when we planned our trip. Our twins had never seen snow so for Christmas we decided to take them to N. Carolina near The Great Smokey Mtns. We thought if it didn’t snow there might be some at least on the mtn tops. We selected this cabin because it didn’t have a steep driveway but we were thrilled when we pulled into the driveway. As soon as we turned off the car snow flurries were landing on the windshield. We could’ve gone home right then as our girls were thrilled. It only lasted about 5 minutes & there was no accumulation but it was pure magic to our girls! We went in the cabin & the posted pictures on VRBO did not do it justice. It was warm, cozy and inviting. Our hostess checked on us shortly after we arrived & provided a notebook with little things like where to find more blankets, instructions for the hot tub & thermostat. A reminder in the kitchen to leave the water dripping (since we are from Florida it was helpful!) She included places in Bryson City with different types of food. The cabin was only about a 30 min drive to Cherokee & The Great Smokey Mtns. There was wood for the fire pit & the fireplace. She included some info about warm weather fun too! We hope to return next year in warmer weather to give rafting & ziplining a try. We did get snow one night & our girls got to make snowballs. We did the Smokey Mtn Railroad & would love to do it again in the fall when the leaves turn colors. We certainly hope this cabin will be available then!

I'm thrilled you enjoyed your stay and got to make some great memories with your family! We try to give attention to the little things, I'm glad those things were helpful and added to your enjoyment. We'd happily welcome you back any time, just say when! 🙂
We're from Michigan and love outdoor activities and small town life. We absolutely love sharing our cozy little cabin with people while they're visiting one of our favorite places and making memories that will last a lifetime.
Why they chose this property
We love the Smokies but prefer the quieter atmosphere in North Carolina; all the benefits of the gorgeous scenery and fantastic outdoor activities without all the traffic!
What makes this property unique
Not many places in this area have paved, easy access to them. And getting enough parking space for multiple vehicles AND trailers is even harder to find! Add in the close proximity to just about every outdoor activity the area offers (too many to list here!) makes the Mountain Forager Cabin an ideal central location to base all your Smoky Mountain adventures from.
