Beautiful setting up the slough in Charleston, perfect for watching the tide, fog lift, and birds galore! The house is tiled on the main rooms with huge windows to let light in. Two walk in showers with two heads in each. Beds are extremely soft, after a day of beach combing falling asleep was easy! The host responded quickly to emails. Highly recommend staying here!
The setting exceeded our expectations. The deck overlooking South Slough was an exceptionally peaceful and beautiful place to have breakfast, do crosswords and play board games with our children and grandchildren. The house is well-laid out and lovely, with great use of different woods in furniture, mirrors and tabletops. Our master bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was spotless and furnished with quality cookware, tableware and utensils. Brenna is a super host. Our children camped 6 minutes away, at Bastendorf Beach Campground, and the campgrounds beach and the Cove at Sunset Bay provided days of beach entertainment (with shade at the cove!). The small community of Charleston between the house and the campground offered charm, a few basic groceries, a great seafood store, and our favorite child-friendly restaurant, Miller's Cove, with wonderful seafood. We would love to return!

I wouldn't recommend this house for anything other than a bachelor party, the view was great and the location was decent but the interior of the house needs loads of TLC! I don't feel the need to list everything because I'm sure the owners already know the issues, but at the very least please have clean glasses and silverware ready for the next guest to use and pick up the old bottle caps and tea bags!
