About this property

View With a House~ All photos taken ON property

Gorgeous red-rock views from the giant picture windows, front deck, front patio, and even views from the bed in the master suite. Views are as good as from the houses next door, which rent for up to $1200 per night.

As they say: location, location, location!

The vegetation creates so much privacy that you can barely see the house from the road, and you don't see the road or neighbors or powerlines from inside the house.... Just you and the living trees and the red rocks.

The kitchen was just FULLY remodeled; custom cherry cabinets and beautiful river-rock stone granite counter tops. Beautiful golden lighting creates a lovely, romantic ambience at night.

While staying in a residential neighborhood tucked up in a quiet corner of Sedona, you will feel more like a "local" than a tourist. We are only about one half block away from the National Forest border, so javalinas and deer are frequent visitors to the yard, and we have a neighborhood bobcat (don't worry, he is little).

The house is nicely furnished with a contemporary south-western/artistic flavor. The front deck is a magical place to enjoy the lit-up red-rock sunsets and also the peace and tranquility of sunrise and the morning bird symphony

If you leave your shades up, you will be greeted with a golden morning sun shining right into your bed when it rises to the east. The stars are bright and the landscaping keeps things looking natural ( rather than the powerlines, houses, and roads seen from most Sedona houses). Due to a great orientation, the house gets morning light but avoids the sweltering mid-day sun, and there are shaded outdoor places to enjoy throughout the day. In addition to the front deck off the master bedroom, there is a side deck off the guest room as well as front patio with a different amazing view
( Wilson Mountain to the north), and also a semi-shady back patio ( in the fenced back yard) which has a nice table for your use. You can work on the internet on that back shady patio, or on one of the front sunny decks/patios.

You can walk to Uptown restaurants, shops, and attractions in ten minutes, yet the established neighborhood feels far removed from the bustle of town. We are close to a trail head which provides access to several outstanding trails: Brinn's Mesa, Soldier's Pass, Cibola pass, Jordon, and Jim Thompson trails. You could even connect to the miles and miles of trails of Sedona without getting in your car at all by walking out the front door to 'local' trails that lead to the trail system.
There are two queen-sized beds, as well as a double size air mattress. There is an attached guest casita which rents separately, and has it's own entrance, parking, and patio. There is no sound transfer, as there is an 8 in solid brick wall with no doors linking the two separate parts of the house. There are also large bushes that visually separate the two sides of the house.
If you are coming all the way to Sedona, it makes sense to give yourself the gift of staying someplace special, with uplifting Views!

Unbeatable views, adorable home!
We felt right at home in this lovely property. It was very clean and well appointed. We did not cook during our stay, but the kitchen had lots of dishes, pans, glassware and small appliances (blender, crockpot, etc). The beds were comfy and nice sized bathrooms had shampoo, conditioner, etc for our use. But the BEST part if this house is the views. Waking up watching the sun rise from the bed was amazing. Great view from the large living room window too. Both bedrooms had a nice sized deck, plus a lovely patio and rear patio. Great location, near shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay there again. Looking forward to coming back!!!

After nearly 40 years living in a remote fishing village in Alaska, I am so enjoying the fabulous weather, beautiful scenery, and world-class hiking available in Sedona. I split my time now between Sedona and Alaska, and Life is perfect!

Why they chose this property

I shopped for almost a year before I purchased this house. There were multiple offers the first day. It is in a really coveted location; upper Uptown Sedona is a quiet, friendly, residential neighborhood and yet it is literally a ten minute walk down the hill to restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions. We are also close to some of the best trails in Sedona, and we could walk out the door onto the trails ( I prefer to drive a half mile to the trail head to hike right in the red rocks). I also love that this is one of the few, lucky areas of Sedona where the powerlines are buried, so the views are more pristine.

What makes this property unique

. Perhaps the most unique thing is that the landscaping does a great job screening out other homes and roads and frames the amazing red-rock views. THIS is the best place to watch the rocks light up with brilliant colors at sunset and also to be greeted by the sunrise shining into your eyes in the mornings ( don't worry, you can draw the shades). It is in a quiet corner of Sedona where morning meditations can be enjoyed on one of the four patios and decks. Traffic is light up here and the neighbors are friendly. The interior of the home is artistically embellished and has a sweet, welcoming feel to it.

Due to proximity to National Forest, we get fun visitors like javalina, deer, and coyotes (and the occasional bobcat). The javalinas come through the yard daily, usually around sunrise and sunset.
