We had a nice and relaxing stay out in the quiet country. However, the house needs some improvement. The kitchen needs to be upgraded. There are way too many personal items from the owners which made our stay uncomfortable (family pictures, family trees, photo albums, awards, political books). The mattresses are very uncomfortable because they are sleep number beds, and the fire alarms go off if the shower gets too steamy. The house is nice, but it needs a lot of work.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, David. We’re glad you enjoyed a relaxing stay in the quiet countryside. Please know that this home is a cherished family property that’s still used by the owners throughout the year, which is why you noticed some personal touches. We’ll be passing your notes about the kitchen, mattresses, and fire alarms along to the property management team and homeowner for consideration. We’re happy we had the opportunity to host you and truly hope you still had an overall pleasant stay.

Overall, the property looked like the images, but was very clearly someone's home with many personal photos and artifacts that didn't feel quite right. In addition, while it looks like it's a massive home, there were only really three bedrooms. the fourth is in the basement and a very uncomfortable murphy bed. The management company was not helpful with changes to our booking that they offered and then didnt follow up on. They also told us they were double booked.
