About this property
Private 3rd Floor of Beautiful Historic Home with Balcony - Walk to Mass MoCa
Welcome to our historic home in the heart of North Adams. You will have the entire 3rd floor apartment to yourself, which includes a large balcony deck with great views, full kitchen, bathroom, living room with TV, and bedroom. The third floor is separate from the main house and has two private entrances. The driveway is all yours and fits up to 3 cars.
This is a charming apartment– hardwood floors, slanted (Mansard) walls, dormer windows. Its perfect location makes walking to downtown attractions and MassMoCa a breeze, but removed just enough to avoid Main St. noise; that coupled with the amazing views from the balcony are what make this place so special.
Full kitchen, queen bed in bedroom, and the couch in the living room pulls out to a queen bed as well.
You must be up to the task of climbing the stairs to the third floor– the house is tall, so it's a climb. Both staircase entrances are depicted in the photos.
Guests have the entire third floor to themselves. The first and second floors are occupied by us (Carrie & Dane, preschooler Freya, and Doug the dog). We leave guests to themselves, but are available downstairs if anything is needed. We're always happy to meet our guests and share recommendations if you'd like.

About the host
Hosted by Carrie Diehl

Carrie is from Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Dane is from the Berkshires. We've been hosting for over 4 years and just love it.
Why they chose this property
North Adams rooftops can be seen from the private balcony. In a quiet neighborhood that still has walking access to downtown shops on one side and a small liberal arts college on the other, it's the perfect spot to get involved with what North Adams has to offer.
Mass MoCa is about an 8 minute walk from here, which is why guests from all over the world come to stay with us. Windsor lake is just up the road, and can be reached by foot in about 12 minutes for swimming, fishing, exploring the woods, and even has a Disc Golf course.

What makes this property unique
Built in 1880 for the niece of the most prominent figure in North Adams history, this house is a beautiful, special, and memorable place.
