House is not suitable for rental. There is a strong musty/mildrew smell that is prominent in the bedrooms (main floor) and downstairs. So despite claims the house sleeps 8, the sleeping area downstairs shows evidence of water damage so would clearly indicate it would not be suitable for guests to sleep there. A fan was on downstairs apparently trying to dry a wet soaked area.I booked it for 6/21-6/28/26, stayed only 2 nights due to overwhelming respiratory issues caused by the extreme air quality. My 2 sisters came and helped move my daughter and I to another rental and they immediately recognized the overwhelming smell.Check in was to be at 11:00, we arrived at 11:30, host was still cleaning. She finished approx 3 hrs later. Air was on and windows were open, so although there was a musty smell it didn’t intensify until the windows were closed.Despite the smell, the house was not clean. The plastic blinds in the 2nd bedroom were caked with grim and the guest was to sleep next to them (pillow there). I attempted to clean them, but were too imbedded with grim. My daughter slept at the other end of the bed. Vent in the main bathroom doesn’t appear it had ever been cleaned. There was exposed insulation around the window in the living room.
