This was a great little getaway spot. Close to lots of cute shops and restaurants. Addie’s Place was clean and had all the amenities we needed for our stay and pet friendly!Stephanie was easy to work with and very responsive to questions. We would definitely book Addie’s Place again!
Very welcoming and accomodating. She responded quickly to any questions I had. The place was very cute, comfortable, and easy to find.I would highly recommend this host
We had a wonderful stay as we were visiting our son at Dartmouth. Excellent location. The accommodations were very thoughtful and efficient. Stephanie thought of details before I know I’d forgotten them. Highly suggest. We hope to stay again.
Stayed while my husband took a course at King Arthur Baking School. We were also able to bring our dog, so very grateful for this. Host was lovely. A very comfy respite and a lovely place to stay.
I used to call this quiet neighborhood home, and it was a treat to be back briefly. The space is quiet but charming, with a nicely appointed bathroom and a comfortable bed. Love the colorful decor.
I am committed to hosting in a space that embodies the values and culture of the region. Vermont has a culture rooted in independence, community spirit, and a deep connection to nature, shaped by small-town life, local agriculture, and the rhythms of four distinct seasons. Vermonters value sustainability, local craftsmanship, and farm-to-table food, all wrapped in a modest, down-to-earth New England character. I have spent a long time preparing this space for you, and I did a lot of the work myself.
Why they chose this property
This is a quiet and very safe neighborhood. One of my favorite things to do is go walking in the Kilowatt parks by the Connecticut river. It’s one street behind the house, and there is a forested walking path connecting Kilowatt North and South. I also enjoy visiting the Norwich Farmers Market (May 1-Oct 31) on Saturdays 9-1 or King Arthur Café and Store both of which are about 1.5 miles down Route 5.
What makes this property unique
Location: A perfect mixture of quiet small town life and ample walkable access to a variety of green spaces, hiking, and the river.
The space: Yes, you can stay in a millennial gray run-of-the-mill space, but why not have a little fun in a rainforest themed stay? I have added a variety of small touches to make your stay special including a take-your-own photo wall, mushroom night lights, sloth plant hangers, parrot wallpaper, and a butterfly wall. The patio overlooks my neighbors garden (unfortunately I cannot take credit). Turn on the string lights or electric candles and enjoy the space for a morning coffee or evening read overlooking the garden.
