About the host

Our dad built this home for a marketing executive from NYC in 1966, and actually built most of those homes in High Meadows. He and mom bought it back in 1999, and have more than doubled the square footage over the last two decades. We just purchased it from them in 2021 in order to keep the legacy going. We love this home, and we are certain you will too.
Why they chose this property
From Dad:
My company designed and built this house at about half its present size in 1966. Years later we built them a bigger home two houses up the street, and sold this house to a couple from Florida. When it became available again in 1998, Nancy and I bought it because all the really good view lots had been built on and we had always dreamed of living on one of the spectacular view properties on Ridge Road. We gutted it down to the bare framing, doubled its size and built it all over again, finishing in 2000. We lived here for 10 years and then moved into a new home across the street in Olde Beau.

What makes this property unique
Having designed and built almost all the view homes on Ridge Road, Nancy and I knew that the view was good, but didn't know it was spectacular until we lived there. I didn't know that sunrises sometimes are as beautiful as the best sunset. Also, I had no idea that a full moon could be so brilliantly exciting. Watching lightning storms in the valley from up here is really special. So are fireworks in valley communities on July 4th. When the fog is lying in the valley, the mountain tops look like islands in a cotton sea. And every night when the lights come on down below, called 'valley stars' by locals, it looks like a large city. The view is different every day.
