We’re sorry that the home’s location did not meet your expectations. The property’s location is accurately shown on the map in the listing prior to booking. Before your arrival, when you expressed concerns about the location, we also let you know that we manage several homes much closer to Lake Michigan at different price points. While we understand that road noise is a matter of personal preference, this is the first time we’ve received feedback of this nature. As an added comfort, we’ve even provided sound machines in the bedrooms. We also wanted to address a few of the other concerns mentioned. When you inquired about toys for your young grandchildren, we were happy to purchase and deliver a large basket of age appropriate toys for your family’s enjoyment, even though we typically provide games rather than children’s toys. Similarly, when you let us know that the beach chairs were missing after several days of your stay, we immediately purchased and delivered a new set so your family could enjoy the beach. It was unusual, as the home is normally stocked with five beach chairs. Regarding the Wi-Fi, we provided access to the owner’s dedicated corporate network, which is separate from the neighborhood service and offers the most secure and reliable connection available at the property. We appreciate you bringing the kitchen faucet and shower noise to our attention. These issues had not been reported previously, and had we known during your stay, we would have gladly sent a plumber to address them promptly. We always encourage guests to let us know about maintenance concerns while they are in the home so we have the opportunity to resolve them immediately. Finally, the home’s furnishings, including the antique dining table paired with vintage style chairs and the living room layout, are accurately represented in the listing photos so guests know what to expect before booking. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue to maintain the home for future guests, and we’re pleased that your family was ultimately able to enjoy quality time together during your vacation.
