Small, no frills house. A good place to stay if visiting JMU with family or friends. Host was very responsive.

Hi Meredith, thank you for staying with us and for the shout-out regarding our responsiveness! We love being a go-to spot for JMU families and friends visiting the area. While we aim for a classic, cozy mountain experience, we're glad the location worked well for your trip.
Overall a good stay! We were skiing for the weekend for my husband’s birthday. The house is very cute and has a homey cabin feel. The host Kyle is very responsive and was super nice. We let him know about a few things that needed fixed and he said he would take care of it immediately. There is limited parking at the property however we were able to ply musical cars and got 3 cars and 1 suv to fit in the parking area. Overall a nice little weekend getaway spot.

Hi AmandaJoe, thank you so much for the kind words! It was a pleasure hosting your husband’s birthday ski weekend. We're glad you enjoyed the homey cabin vibe! We appreciate you pointing out those few items; they were addressed immediately to keep the house in top shape. Regarding parking, we're glad you were able to fit all 4 vehicles! Hope to see you again next season!"
About the host
Hosted by Kyle Woods
We are dedicated hosts who love the unique rhythm of the Shenandoah Valley. As a military family, we fell in love with Massanutten for its true four-season appeal. We strive to provide a clean, modern, and stress-free environment so you can focus on making memories at the resort or exploring the trails.
Why they chose this property
We chose this home because of the "indoor-outdoor" flow. Many mountain homes feel dark, but our enclosed deck and winter views bring the outside in. Being able to sit by a fire table in the middle of winter while looking at the mountains is a rare find in this area, and we wanted to share that experience with others.
What makes this property unique
Beyond the standard resort amenities, our home is a haven for nature lovers. We provide a curated local guide that includes the best spots for sunset views. The enclosed deck is also a massive benefit—it offers protection from the elements, making it a functional "second living room" in any season.
