Villa tired and worn. No welcome pack or mid clean as stated .
On arrival at the property the manager was not welcoming, saying he was tired. Going down the dark stairs with many cases and 3 children despite there being lights that could have been on !!
There was no welcome pack as stated in the amenities on your site , no instruction booklet on how to use the appliances. One key was provided for a 10 person villa . I asked the manager for another key but he said there wasn't one. He was there for 5 minutes and left. NOT WELCOMING AT ALL !
As we arrived at night we couldn't really see the place. The next morning we noticed a couple of the glass shower screens were cracked and one of the showers was not working. The couch creaked and ominously sagged in the middle , nearly touching the floor if any adult sat on it , so much so that we only allowed the children to sit on it. Some of the indoor floor tiles were broken and sunken and potentially dangerous if the children walked on them bare footed.
The pool furniture was tired and stained with 2 sunlongers broken and unusable .
Patio Tiles and edges were broken and uneven , weeds growing out of some of them. Very unsitley and dangerous for children. There was an uncovered wall socket showing exposed wires at the pool. A tall light pole also had exposed wires . The worst thing was a 3ft open gap between the pool and the glass screen which had a 40 foot drop onto the property at the front of the pool .
No actual midweek clean/ linen change , cleaners not in more than 15 minutes, they emptied bins swapped some bath towels for pool towels and left !
This was the last straw , I contacted Hamil the manager and his response was shocking and unbelievable. He basically said that I had "paid less " in February 2021 than what he would be charging now for the villa in 2022 and this was the reason it did not include a welcome pack or a midweek clean !
I advised him the rate we paid was the rate on VRBO in February 2021.
He was rude and condescending and my husband asked him to come up to the property to see for himself it's condition and his reply was "there is nothing to discuss. " He didn't even bother to attend when we left at checkout at 9am .
This conversation is recorded on what's app and we have photos of the condition if the villa. I have rented numerous places in kalkan since 2009 and this is by far the poorest. I do not want people in the future paying thousands of pounds on something that is not worth the money or to be treated with total disregard .
