Mother's Day Get Away
My mother and sisters stayed at Hidden Valley Farm for the Mother's Day weekend. We loved every moment of our stay. The Hosts were awesome! The cottage was beautiful and very accommodating for our stay! We used every space available in the cottage and outside. It was such a peaceful and restful place. We were close to many activities - the area is rich in history. Lastly, the animals on the farm were awesome and we enjoyed watching and visiting them all! We hope to stay here again in the future!

Perfect!
Our entire family loved this place so much. We were greeted by a sweet orange cat and he went on a long walk later towards the woods after we visited with all the friendly farm animals. We saw horses, goats, steers, alpacas and a large tortoise. It brought me back to my childhood growing up on our family farm in Wisconsin. The views are incredible at any place you look. We sat on the porch and watched the sunset and then went to the back and started a fire on the very nice patio with a grand fireplace. The kids collected sticks but there was a starter pile. When we woke up in the morning we were greeted again but by three super fun dogs (the owner asked if we were ok with them and of course yes my kids have been wondering where the dogs were the whole trip) they added so much entertainment. They came with us while we visited all the farm animals again and the kids played fetch. The house was perfect for us. A lot of room, clean, coffee and creamer were available. This is my dream home and was thrilled to visit. If you have kids or love animals or beautiful views this is your place! A+

Beautiful and Awesome
Everything was great. No complaints. This property is the home of Cyrus McCormicks dad. If you don’t know who Cyrus McCormick is, look him up. The farmers do. History buffs know him. Beautiful area easy to get to and looking up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. All the modern amenities in a late 1700’s house. Entertaining just watching the cow roundup every morning drinking coffee on the front porch. Duckie the dog is a delight. Everything was just easy. Highly recommend and I don’t usually do reviews.

Loved the farm
This was the best place for my grandson who is three. We all loved the farm animals and big open spaces, but he enjoyed the Avenger action men and other toys. The house stayed warm and was comfortable. Be aware that our phone internet was minimal but we enjoyed a night without devices. Wish we were coming back this way again.
