The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Return any used fishing poles and floaties to the storage room. Pick up all trash, bag it, and put in outside bin and leave at the end of the driveway. Put all towels in washer and start it.
Turn of the living room air conditioner. Put the air on 74 in the summer and the heater on 66 in the winter. If you use the fireplace, clean out the ashes and put them on the burn pile outside.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Boats and Jet skis are not for renters. Please stay off of them.
The storage building up near the house is not for renters. Please do not try to get in.
You must clean up after gatherings. If you do not there will be extra fees. Fees will be at the owner discretion.

Nice house on the lake. Enjoyed the large living room and master bed was very comfortable. Nice fishing spots on the lake. Not to far from Nacogdoches for fun shopping.

Gorgeous place to stay! The house is beautiful and the view is perfection! We loved fishing off the dock and caught some nice sized fish. We also enjoyed swimming, and the kids and grandkids LOVED the slide!

Our stay was very relaxing weekend. With my husbands brother and sister in law. We enjoyed the home and great fishing from the boathouse. Will be staying here again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the lake house over the holidays—it was the perfect spot for our family gathering! The large deck offered stunning lake views that we enjoyed every morning with coffee and every evening watching the sunset before roasting marshmallows with little ones. Fishing was fun and we caught some right off the dock. Hosting our Christmas party here was a dream—the spacious layout accommodated all the kids, grandkids, and even the great-grandkids comfortably, with room for games, meals, and opening presents by the tree. Everything was clean, well-equipped, and just as described. We would book again in a heartbeat! We made lasting memories and Penny, our host was very kind. Highly recommend for family getaways!!!

The house was clean. Peggy was very quick to respond. I wish my husband was going back to the area for work before school starts we would come again. We enjoyed the views and the slide. Next time we may try to catch a fish or 2 !

Lake Murvaul Hidden Gem

Stayed here for my son’s weekend baseball tournament in nearby Center with my family of 5 and my parents. It was wonderful. They even left a good luck baseball sign and snack basket for my son who loved it! We fish a lot since we have a large pond behind our house and we very much enjoyed fishing here! It was great and we caught a lot! The portacool on the deck was a very nice unexpected treat in the June Texas heat. This was a hidden gem that we were so pleased to have found and we can’t wait to hopefully visit again! Thank you!

My husband and I kicked off our first summer as empty nesters with a stay at this perfect lake house. It is right on the lake with great views. My husband was pleased with the dock and the fish-cleaning station and the space to park his boat. The public boat ramp was close and the marina was only a short boat ride away. We were impressed with the quality of the bed and towels. I was also happy with the items that were provided such as bottled water, soaps, shampoo, laundry and kitchen supplies, etc. there was also a large first aid kit. The house is very spacious and could definitely work for our future family gatherings. Communication with the host was awesome! We will be back.

Our family got together this past weekend at the lakehouse and we all had a wonderful time. There were only a couple of things that needed attention around the house but nothing that interfered with our stay. If we had advised the owner, I’m sure both items would have been taken care of immediately, but we didn’t find either that important. If we ever come back to this area, we would definitely consider this home again. Maybe next time in the summer so we could take advantage more of the outdoors.
