Our family was looking for a convenient place to stay while attending a wedding over the weekend, and this was perfect! Clean, walking distance to town, and 2 washrooms. Thanks for having us!
Two friends wanted a quiet getaway with walking distances to shops and restaurants. This place provides it. We also had spa services at Grail Springs Wellness Retreat which is 5 minute drive away.Bright decor and great bedrooms.
The space was exactly as advertised. Incredibly well appointed and communication with Sasha very very quick. Our granddaughters love having their own space and declared the pillows the best they've had! The bottled water was one of the many details that were very much appreciated..
My main piece of advice about this property is "don't judge a book by its cover." The exterior of the house, to be frank, is a dump. You'll think you've rented a lemon. But the inside is absolutely gorgeous! Exactly as pictured. Tasteful and clever modern decor and many hi-tech features (i.e. lots of stuff from IKEA and Google Home.) The cupboards are stocked with every facility you could imagine, and a few you couldn't (I'm not sure why one would need 10 sets of chopsticks, but they're there if you need them.) In-suite laundry is always a big plus for longer stays. The beds are very comfortable. And the place is so spacious, especially for the price. The property is near the town's historic district, full of all sorts of quaint shops including, right next door, the Old Tin Shed, a wonderland of old and new crafts, decor and oddities. The hosts were very responsive and prompt in helping us with any minor issues that popped up. If you find yourself in Bancroft for some reason (for us, we were attending its excellent regional theatre), this is your top choice for accommodation. We would definitely stay there again.

Why they chose this property
We picked this neighborhood because it’s super central — close to restaurants, shops, and things to do. And since we love the outdoors, being under an hour from one of Ontario’s biggest national parks was a huge plus for us.
What makes this property unique
We like to think of our house as a little “don’t judge a book by its cover” surprise — plain outside, cozy and modern inside.
