Our family of four, with two young adults stayed in the beautiful home. There is a lot of amazing art in the home. We could easily walk to restaurants, grocery stores, cafes and downtown. The owner is very responsive. We would stay at this place again.
Wonderful location and a well appointed rental with an art-filled family home atmosphere. Has a lovely porch and garden out front which we enjoyed on sunny days. Very comfortable.

Beautiful historic house with a great owner
Loves staying here. The owner was very accommodating and the home was much larger than it appears in the pictures. This is a historic home with a lot of charm, large open kitchen and free parking. The neighborhood is very nice and close to downtown. I would absolutely stay here again, if I were to return to Iceland.

clean, spacious with an easy walk downtown!
The host was so kind to let us check in SUPER early from a red-eye flight. She met us on site to give us a walkthrough and was sure we didn't need anything else. She was pretty easy to get ahold of, considering it was a holiday weekend. Which was helpful, I would absolutely stay here again!

What makes this property unique
Peaceful and nice area. Klambratún the park is in front of the house with a nice museum Kjarvalsstaðir. It is a short walk to the swimming pool Sundhöllin (the swimming palace), to the Einar Jónsson art museum, to Hallgrímskirkja (The church of Hallgrímur) and to down town.
