Better than great! So many extra touches to make your stay better. King bed in every room, tons of space, beautiful scenery, and secluded. Close to Mentone, Desoto State Park and Little River Canyon National Park. Richard & Carol are fabulous hosts and quick to respond. We will stay again when we are in the area next.

We had a WONDERFUL experience! The home was beautiful, the location was quiet yet convenient, and there was plenty of space for our family of 15. Home was clean and stocked with everything we needed. Beds were so comfortable. Host was incredibly responsive and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in Mentone.

The cabin was adorable, cozy and comfortable with a beautiful property! Well appointed with all the necessities. Quick and friendly communication throughout our stay. I would warn folks that the lower level is only accessible from the outside which was not convenient on a snowy weekend, but might be fine for others.

Thank you so much, Katie, for your thoughtful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the cabin, the peaceful property, and found everything comfortable and well stocked. It was a pleasure hosting you! Thank you as well for your feedback about the lower level. We understand that having the Creekside Quarters accessible only by a private exterior entrance may not be ideal for every group, especially during snowy weather. We do our best to clearly describe the layout in our listing so guests can determine if it’s the right fit for their needs. We truly appreciate you choosing Little River Family Retreat and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future! Thanks Carol Davis

A great place!

The dwelling is excellent, and the property is lovely and private. It's a great cabin that has been beautifully furnished, and thoughtfully equipped with everything that you could possibly need. Also, Mary the property manager was very prompt in responding to questions, and was very helpful. It was a hit with all of the members of our group!!

Overall a great family stay. Cabin was clean, well-stocked, comfortable beds, and a lot of special touches throughout to make this a memorable family gathering. We made smores at the fire pit and the kids loved them. Played some cornhole and Grandpa is still the champ! This is the perfect place to spend time with family - lots of beautiful nearby parks and trails. We loved sitting on the porch in the morning sipping on our coffee watching the river below. Very peaceful! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - THANKS!

The best place we have stayed in years. This place had everything we needed and all the extras you don’t expect. I loved all the snacks the host left for us and we all enjoyed the coffee bar. There was plenty of room for the whole group and we all enjoyed the king sized beds, the beds were comfortable and my wife loved the sheets and the comforters. We are planning a return trip w the host now. Super place. Private and plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful natural setting. The rocking chairs on the back deck were perfect. I wanna go back right now and rock the evening away in front of the fireplace.

Thank you so much, Richard! Your review absolutely made our day. We put a lot of thought into creating a place where families and friends can relax, reconnect, and enjoy all the little extras, so it means a great deal to know they made your stay special. We’re delighted that everyone enjoyed the king beds, the coffee bar, the snacks, and especially those peaceful evenings rocking by the fireplace. That’s exactly the kind of experience we hope every guest has. It was truly a pleasure hosting your group, and we’re excited to welcome you back to Little River Family Retreat. We can’t wait to see you again for another relaxing mountain getaway! Safe travels until then!
