About this property
New custom home in the heart of Cape May
S p a c e and Design become very important when choosing a vacation property
It is so important not only to choose a property that is safe and clean, but to choose a property that you really want to stay and hang out in. The Zephyr House is a perfect choice. Lots of open space - new places to chill - indoors and out. You wont miss the crowds at all while relaxing at the Zephyr House.
Enjoy the rustic modern architecture and the delightfully private and peaceful location just blocks from the shore.
The interior’s open floor plan, soaring ceilings and stocked kitchen all combine for a perfect seaside getaway.
4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home sleeps 14.
On site parking for 3 cars.
This home is centrally located and just blocks from the Atlantic and downtown. Designed and built by an architect and his family including 2 small girls, they created a family friendly take on Cape May’s charming buildings. The home uses many salvaged pieces to create a custom blend of vintage and modern beach style. The Victorian silhouette and many large windows allows the interior to be bathed in light and glorious sea breezes while being nestled within the trees. The interior’s open floor plan, soaring ceilings and stocked kitchen allows for great entertaining. The home is located at the end of a dead-end street providing privacy while still being in the heart of the action.
The main living area has salvaged wood beam ceilings, reclaimed 400 year old hemlock hardwood floors throughout. The open industrial style floor plan is spacious and welcoming and includes the well equipped kitchen and dining area that seats ten, a breakfast bar, as well as a kitchen island. The living area opens up to a large outdoor deck perfect for dining and lounging.
There are three bedrooms on the first floor. The master has a king bed. The back bedroom has a queen bed and a twin daybed with trundle. The bunk room has a set of 2 bunk beds perfect for the kids with room for a total of twelve guests, including the queen, pull-out couch.
Outside there is a large deck, a BBQ and an outdoor rain shower for cooling off after a day at the beach. The front porch is perfect for morning coffee. New this year, there is an additional patio lounge space right next to the native plant rain garden. The house is raised above ground providing parking for 3 cars along with plenty of storage for beach items and bikes. The grounds and rain garden are planted with native plants to attract birds and butterflies. There is a front vegetable and herb garden to help brighten up your summer salads and mojitos as well.
