Welcome to Chalet Iona – a spacious and beautifully designed 5-bedroom chalet offering luxury, comfort, and panoramic Alpine views. Nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Mont d’Evian, just a 10-minute drive from Morzine, this stunning retreat is ideal for families and groups seeking five-star accommodation in the mountains.



Designed and built as a family home in 2007, Chalet Iona is spread across three generous floors and finished to an exceptionally high standard. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel at home – surrounded by elegant interiors, thoughtful amenities, and breathtaking scenery.



Stylish Living, Inside and Out



The heart of the chalet is its open-plan living and dining space, flooded with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides. Soak in the spectacular views while relaxing on deep, comfy sofas in front of the roaring log fire. A large dining table seats 12, and the adjacent kitchen – with granite worktops and quality appliances – is a dream for entertaining.



Wooden beams and warm tones create a cosy alpine atmosphere throughout, while modern comforts like WiFi, a TV with French & English channels, and a separate TV room with Smart TV, Netflix & Amazon Prime make relaxing easy after a day on the slopes.



In warmer months, the chalet really comes into its own. A spacious sun deck opens off the kitchen, and wrap-around balconies offer sunshine well into the evening – perfect for sipping a glass of something bubbly as the sun sets over the valley.

Mont d’Evian is a charming part of St Jean d’Aulps with jaw-dropping views over the valley. The local village is just a few minutes’ drive, and Morzine is only 10 minutes away by car. The Ardent télécabine, with quick access to Avoriaz and the Portes du Soleil ski area, is just 15 minutes away.

Mooi verblijf, maar schoonmaak kan beter

Voor de tweede keer verbleven we in dit prachtige huis – we waren hier twee jaar geleden ook en het blijft een geweldige plek. Helaas waren er dit keer wel een paar verbeterpunten. Bij aankomst was de keuken niet schoon: kastjes zaten vol plakkerige afdrukken en het aanrecht was niet echt schoon. We hebben dit gemeld bij de beheerder, die aangaf dat de schoonmakers normaal gesproken grondig werken, maar verder geen actie ondernam. Uiteindelijk hebben we de keuken zelf helemaal schoongemaakt. Ook is het keukengerei toe aan vervanging, vooral de spatels en pannen. Daarnaast waren er te weinig handdoeken, maar die werden gelukkig wel snel gebracht; wat super fijn was. Ook de waterdichte matrasbeschermers waren niet erg comfortabel om op te slapen. Ondanks deze punten hebben we alsnog genoten van ons verblijf. Met wat meer aandacht voor bovenstaande zou het verblijf echt perfect zijn!

Prachtig huis op mooie locatie

Het huis overtrof echt al onze verwachtingen! Op de foto's zag het er al heel mooi uit maar het huis is werkelijkheid meer dan heel mooi. De uitstraling en sfeer is echt uitzonderlijk (en wij zijn echt wel wat gewend) en ook de rustige ligging is heerlijk. Nadeel kan zijn dat je wel altijd de auto moet pakken om naar de pistes te komen of boodschappen te doen. Wij vonden dat niet vervelend overigens maar kan me voorstellen dat wanneer het sneeuwt het wellicht wat lastiger is. Wat we ook echt heel handig vonden is de goede bereikbaarheid van Jo en de praktische hostfully app met allerhande informatie over het huis maar ook over de omgeving.

Lots of space for large group in lovely surroundings;well appointed ;useful tv room with netflix etc for kids ;great view to SJDA ski runs and down onto village;good sized bedrooms; few mins drive to shops bars ;whilst not in town has good location to drive to all ski areas. The area is massive for skiing ,;near lakes,airport,other ski areas,kids adventure centres;rafting;zip wires; Day trips easy to places like Chamonix,Geneva,Megeve;Annecy Evian,Montreux ,Cormayeur,Villars,Flaine etc. Selection of good value bars ,takeaways,restaurants in village and even more in Morzine and on slopes ,although sometimes not as good value. Biggest supermarket in valley just 1 mile outside village . Ski area big but best to drive to drive to different areas of it to save time...eg Les Lindarets,Les Gets or Morzine...otherwise you may not get to the extremity of the area. For those who do want to stay in 1 area to learn etc ,the local village is perfect ....with both easy,nursery and challenging routes.

Chalet magnifique

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce magnifique chalet récent qui allie à la fois le confort moderne et l'authenticité de l'ancien. Le charme du bois et la décoration raffinée nous ont conquis. La vue est imprenable et le chalet est très ensoleillé. L'accès aux principales stations de ski est rapide. Nous avons skié sur tout le domaine des portes du soleil depuis les Gets. Nous avons également découvert des randonnées extraordinaires au Mont Cali (depuis les télécabines du Mont Chéry aux Gets) où après une heure et demie de marche dans un site classé, face au Mont-Blanc nous avons découvert un restaurant d'alpage hors du temps que nous recommandons. Nous n'avons pas eu assez de temps pour profiter de tout ce que peut offrir la région. Pour en revenir au chalet, nous étions 10 et personne ne s'est gêné. Chaque chambre à sa salle de bain et ses toilettes. Tout est conçu pour faciliter le séjour des vacanciers. Au niveau de l'équipement électroménager nous pourrions émettre l'idée de remplacer la cafetière trop petite et peu performante, d' ajouter un appareil à raclette (6 poêlons pour 10 c'est insuffisant), et de réparer le lave-vaisselle (grille de soutien des assiettes qui tient avec un élastique). Ceci n'a en rien impacté notre séjour car je le rappelle nous avons trouvé un petit coin Savoie loin de l'agitation des stations et nous le recommendons à tous les amoureux de nature et de tranquillité.

A perfect week at Chalet Iona/ Morzine valley.

Views,comfort,space and away from the madding crowd.....but just a short drive for slopes.supermarket and town. All topped off with masses of powder!. A big chalet where we can all get together in evenings.but disappear to spacious en,suite bedrooms when you are worn out. Great drying room and boot warmers for snowy days. Large entrance hall for pre ski kit out and preparation. Decorated and furnished as a home more than a rental. Good size kitchen etc. Sunny position to chill out looking down on village below and its ski area in near distance....good size balcony for dining or watching sunset on summer evenings. Sits in quiet traditional hamlet with good walks into mountains from the door. Not good for anyone wanting shops and bars from the door.

Nous avons passé 10 jours superbes nous nous sommes sentis chez nous tout de suite le chalet est très agréable et conforme aux photos. Chaque chambre est vraiment indépendante avec toilette et Salle de bain et les parties communes spacieuses et fonctionnelles. L accueil a était très chaleureux rien a redire sur les prestations excepté peut être la machine à café qui est encore à filtre 😝 une machine expresso aurait été le bienvenu. Nous reviendrons sûrement l année prochaine 🤗

Lovely Chalet Iona

The only thing not perfect about this chalet is that it does not belong to us! Everything about it is second to none from the beautiful aspect, to the stunning design, well appointed kitchen, open plan living area with stunning views across the mountains. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable with lovely en-suites and in the case of the master, a fabulous walk in shower and vast bath. We were a group of 11 - 2 families and a couple. Access to the slopes was arranged via a shuttle bus. Nobody wanted to leave this chalet to go home! And the upshot of what was pronounced "the best ski holiday ever" is that we have been totally spoiled.

This is a beautifully appointed chalet in a quiet location with magnificent views. The struggle up the hill is more than made up for by the setting and the quiet. The skiers amongst us were happy to go off to Ardent everyday (15 minutes by car, free parking), where they could access the whole of the Portes du Soleil while others could walk, drive into Morzine, or just enjoy the space and quiet at the chalet. Everything is nicely fitted, the beds are comfortable and it feels more like a home than a rental chalet. This was our second visit and I have no doubt we will be back for more.

Beautiful chalet

We, a group of 11, stayed one week in Chalet Iona. The chalet is beautiful. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, cosy fireplace, good kitchen, very comfortable beds with good quality linen and towels. The chalet is in a good central location to reach various starting points for the Portes du Soleil area within about 20 minutes. You do need a car and when there is fresh snow you need to put the chains on, although the road does get cleared quite quickly. The Carrefour supermarket is close by and stocks everything you need if you opt for the self catered option which we did. We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and would certainly recommend this chalet.

It is run by Jo Miller, who has lived in the area for 20 years, and assisted by her partner, Hervé Gaillard, who was born and bred in the area. Between them they have a wealth of local knowledge & an enthusiasm for the area.

Jo will meet you at the chalet on your arrival, and will be on hand to assist you for the duration of your stay. All our properties are independently owned and have been selected by us based on our experience of what guests look for in a holiday home.

Our aim is to make your holiday as hassle free as possible, starting with the booking process right down to helping you organise any extra services through our network of professionals, such as ski lessons , ski hire and ski passes . You can even opt for a fully catered package if you want the flexibility of a self catered holiday but don’t want to cook every night.
