We get excited when people have thoroughly enjoyed their stay. We would love to have you return in the future. Every season has different adventures to explore and we are avaliable all year. The fall leaves are really starting to pop the last few days with the cooler weather and now is such a great time for hiking. Hope to see you soon.
We loved our stay. Our group ranged from 7 to 70 years of age, and everyone thoroughly loved this home. There was plenty of room, the house was stocked with high-end amenities and the outdoor fire pit area was fantastic. If you are planning a rafting trip with NOC or other near by rafting companies, you won’t find another house this nice or this convenient. I highly recommend this property!
Great place. Beautiful. Easy to get to. Away from town. Clean. Comfortable. Family enjoyed our time together there. Hosts are super friendly. Free place to swim nearby. Dollar General within reasonable distant. Enough amenities for our stay which was greatly appreciated.

Very nice, friendly family. Perfect guests as they were clean and took great care of our place. Would love to have them return in the future.
If you like to be close to town but away from everything. This is the property for you. The owner meet you at the property to show you where everything is and answer any questions. I will recommend this to anyone who will be visiting the area.
We had a wonderful week at this cabin. There were 4 adults and 2 kids and the house was perfect for us. The beds were comfy (my teenager also gave high marks to the futon), the kitchen was well stocked and the fire pit provided a nice way to end the evenings.
We went hiking, tubing, horseback riding, gem mining and whitewater rafting, and the cabin is conveniently located to all of those activities.
We can’t wait to come back!
Amazingly clean, comfortable, mtn and woods experience!
This is an incredibly clean and comfortable house/cabin with every detail thought through. Our family of 5 had a great winter new year stay with a fire in the fire pit outside. I can’t express how flawless this experience was from toys and stuffed animals in one bedroom to every kitchen gadget needed for a vacation. Don’t underestimate this great vacation home.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. Awesome family, very friendly, clean and we'd welcome you back any time. Each season offers different adventures from hiking, swimming, Whitewater rafting, ziplining, swimming, mountain biking, etc.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was so peaceful and quiet. The cabin has everything you need for a perfect stay. It was a short drive to the Nantahala River where we caught many fish. It is also not too far a drive to Bryson City and Cherokee. We actually fished all three areas. All in all it was a great vacation and I highly recommend the cabin for anyone looking to visit the area.

Beautiful Home
I had never used VRBO so this experience was a first and I'm glad I chose this home for our polar express experience. The home was beautifully decorated, clean, and roomy. It's in a great location and off the road so you enjoy a great view and quality time with family. Ann, the owner, was friendly and helped us with ideas on places to eat and places to go. If we ever come to this area again we would rent from Ann again. Loved our trip and you will too if you rent this home.

It was a pleasure meeting you and your family. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and it touched my heart that your little one said he wanted to live in our home forever. We appreciate you taking care of our home as you would your own. We'd welcome you back any time. Summer is a great time with so many outdoor activities: fishing, hiking, tubing, mountain biking, exploring waterfalls, swimming, Whitewater rafting, ziplining and so much more. Thank you for choosing to stay with us!
As someone in a earlier post stated " the photos don't do it justice". This home looks like it's brand new. The dinner ware and pots and pans are better than my own. Ann and Ray met us when we arrived and are the nicest folks. They are the kind of neighbors you want to have.

Wonderful guests who were a pleasure to meet. We appreciate you taking such great care of our place. They took the trash with them, did some laundry, emptied the dishwasher and kept the place in tip top shape. Highly recommended and hope to have them return in the future.
Staying on top of a mountain was peaceful and quiet. This house was perfect for our family. It was spacious and we felt right at home. We were especially impressed with how clean it was. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We appreciated having the fire pit with chairs outside, marshmallow sticks, and firewood provided. The location was great for exploring the local lakes and hiking in the Smokies. If we are back in the area we will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful family. Very neat, clean and great communicators. They went above following house rules by starting a load of laundry (towels) prior to leaving and left everything in great condition. We will definitely welcome them back in the future.
The house was wonderful for our party of 5 - 2 couples + 1 adult kid. The kitchen is not huge, but we were easily able to cook breakfast and dinner every night. The property was well stocked with towels and additional bedding and it was absolutely the cleanest rental I've ever been in. The driveway up was in good condition, but it was steep in places. The result that comes with the drive is that once up the drive, you're staying in the middle of the trees on the mountain with no visible neighbors. Great house!

Great cabin tucked away but close to town.
Peaceful cabin, nicely decorated even with Fall decor. Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Beds were comfortable with the perfect pillow. Nice, fluffy bath towels, chopped wood for the fire pit and even a few Fall decor items and candy made it feel like home. We couldn't have asked for more. The drive into town is easy as well as surrounding attractions. WiFi and cell service worked well from the cabin. Ray & Ann are gracious and accommodating. Wish we had more time!

Fabulous Cabin
This is a great place, awesome location easy to get to multiple locations and just down the road from the Nantahala Outpost Center. We had a great time canopy zip lining and rafting during our stay. This newly built cabin had lots of extras that made this place a perfect place to stay, my kids loved the cabin. The cabin was very nicely furnished and the kitchen had everything you need for cooking. We really enjoyed cooking s'omres on the outdoor fire pit and enjoyed seeing a few deer grazing in the grass in the early morning. Ray and Ann are very helpful and provide us with direction and information on things to do during our stay. I would definitely recommend this place :)

We'd love to welcome you back any time on your next visit to the mountains and appreciate you taking care of our home as if it were your own.
About the host
Hosted by Ray & Ann Converse
We have been married 41 years and have 3 adult children and 4 grandsons. We've been coming to this area since we married and honeymooned in the Smokies. Moving to the Smoky Mountains 6 years ago was a dream of ours and we always hated leaving when we'd travel. We enjoyed the mountains and activities so much that we finally made the move and have no regrets. We want others to enjoy their stay in the mountains as much as we always have.
Our three adult children and four grandsons all love visiting and exploring in the mountains. We do quite a bit of fishing and hiking with the boys, but they absolutely love tubing down Deep Creek. Whitewater rafting is one of our favorites and we recently went ziplining for the first time and will definitely do it again soon.
Why they chose this property
We built this vacation rental for others to discover nature, the mountains and just relax. We are located only 3 miles from Tsali for mountain biking, hiking and boating. Nantahala is only 3 miles for hiking, swimming, Whitewater rating, ziplining, kayaking, canoeing and The Rivers Edge restaurant. Bryson City is a quick 10 miles for shopping, hiking, tubing, swimming and picnics at Deep Creek, and discovering three beautiful waterfalls. The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad offers different excursions during the year, but The Polar Express is a must with children. The Road to Nowhere is also in Bryson; great for hiking and horseback riding. Cherokee offers shopping, restaurants and Harrah's Casino, which is about 20 minutes up the road. There is a lot of history in Cherokee. Waynesville is a great city to visit with unique shops in the historic downtown district and also antiques. Waynesville is about a 40 mile ride. We want your stay to be enjoyable and will do all we can to accomplish a great visit.
What makes this property unique
We chose to build this vacation home on our property for others to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and serenity the mountains have to offer. You will never sleep better than in the mountains. Bonfires at night are a great way to enjoy each other's company, ghost stories and don't forget the s'mores. The home is secluded and you will feel like you're the only ones in the world while enjoying all the comforts of home.
