This was a beautiful lakefront oasis! We enjoyed the lake access, the lovely outdoor areas and the beautifully decorated accommodations. The home is a guest house next to the owner's residence. The owner and Jessie were both incredibly responsive and accommodating! We hope to visit again soon.
We booked this rental last minute for our daughters’ birthday weekend with friends, and it turned out to be perfect. The home was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The setting is absolutely beautiful. peaceful and scenic, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The girls had a wonderful time celebrating, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the weekend. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time at this cottage on Lake Michigan! The location was perfect with plenty of space to relax by the beach, watch the sunsets, and enjoy the fireworks right from the shoreline. Also close to shopping, wineries, breweries, breakfast joints, delis, and more. The cottage itself was spotless and updated. Beds were super comfortable and had a large TV in the living room with surround sound. Morning coffee on the beach, spontaneous beach time with the kids, and rock hunting was so special. The kids had tons of room to play on the private beach and there were plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, and other thoughtful touches provided. The host was staying close by and was happy to help with anything we needed. They even invited us over to try the most delicious steak and shrimp. Hope to come back in the fall to catch even more beautiful sunsets and more rock hunting!
Unfortunately rental was misrepresented as entire home but is actually just a guest house. The setting on lake mich is beautiful but we did not get to enjoy it much. The unit is in very close proximity to the main house, whose owner is very is often out in the shared yard, burning paper waste, entertaining guests, and overseeing his many workers. There was virtually no privacy or quiet for 10 of the 12 days we stayed, due to a large construction project that we were not told about. The work was being done literally on all sides of the guest house, and extending all the way down to the beach. There were 10-12 workers at any given time, the intense whining of chain sawing, bulldozing, shouting etc etc. When we told the owner we found the construction impossible to tolerate he said we were lucky the workers didn’t stay until 9PM. Our stay included labor day weekend and VRBO had no other homes available that met our needs so we were forced to stay indoors, with the doors closed and the curtains drawn most of the time, as we couldn’t eat or relax on the back porch. We gradually found a nearby park to enjoy the views but the whole point of paying this much was to be close to the water without having to leave. Also, firepit and barbeque are on owner's side and used by owner. We were blocked in the driveway on several occasions. The host, Jessie was unresponsive after we booked the property. Also, there were no handrails on steps or wheelchair accessible trail as advertised.

Hello,
Apologize for your inconvenience. I was out of town during your stay, we did have over 40 messages to each other before you came. I did give you 50% off the price of your stay- even including the holiday. I did purchase a $2000 machine so you could do laundry and include the owners number who is in close proximity, if needed anything additional. There was some construction on the side of house. I apologize if this bothered you - we've had guests all summer and youre the first to have said something. The fireplace and grill are shared, as there as multiple porches around the property. I do apologize a worker was setting on the end of the furthest porch at one point. There are 4 different seating areas on the way down to water and hand rails are on the sides with way of design, two additional porches on side and front of house beside that one. The construction is for a wheelchair ramp to the water which is now finished and there has been access to the home by wheelchair available. Again, apologies if the noise was a bother. I went extensively out of my way to help you with your budget and make it fitting for you during your stay. Take care 🙂
